Spots in the women's final at the U.S. Open will be on the line Friday for Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka and Sara Errani.
Spots in the women's final will be at stake at Arthur Ashe Court from the U.S. Open on Friday as Serena Williams looks to make her sixth U.S. Open final when she takes on No. 10 Sara Errani.
Williams made quick work of Ana Ivanovic in her quarterfinal match, winning 6-1, 6-3, and will now face Errani. Williams owns a 3-0 all-time record against the Italian and has yet to drop a match during the U.S. Open.
In the other semifinal, No. 3 Maria Sharapova will be looking to make her second U.S. Open final after winning the tournament in 2006 as she takes on women's No. 1 Victoria Azarenka. Sharapova recovered from being a set down in her quarterfinal meeting with Marion Bartoli to make the semifinal round.
Bob and Mike Bryan also hit center court in Flushing Meadow, N.Y. against Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek in the men's doubles final at noon.
