According to the U.S. Open's official website, the women's singles final between fourth-seeded Serena Williams and top-seeded Victoria Azarenka has been postponed due to weather.

The forecast calls for storms with heavy rain and high winds. The match between Williams and Azarenka is now scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 9 with the start time being announced by 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Williams is looking for her fourth U.S. Open singles title and her first since 2008 while Azarenka is playing in her first U.S. Open singles final.

The day schedule has not been affected by the weather and will continue as scheduled. The men's semifinal match between No. 3 Andy Murray and No. 6 Tomas Berdych is currently in play with No. 4 David Ferrer and No. 2 Novak Djokovic to follow.
