The men's and women's quarterfinals at the 2013 Australian Open begin Tuesday in Melbourne. With just eight players left on each side of the bracket, the matchups are a bit more intriguing deep into the tournament.
Starting play at 11 a.m. in Australia (7 p.m. ET), No. 6 Na Li will look to upset No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska. Neither player has yet to drop a set in this year's tournament, and both appear to be getting stronger the further they go. Following that match, No. 4 David Ferrer and No. 10 Nicolas Almagro will face off in a battle of countrymen.
Later, No. 2 Maria Sharapova, she of just five dropped games in four matches, will look to continue her dominance against No. 19 Ekaterina Makarova. The match should set the stage for an insomniac match between No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 5 Tomas Berdych, beginning at 7:30 p.m. local time, (3:30 a.m. ET) on Tuesday. Djokovic survived a major scare when he beat No. 15 Stanislas Wawrinka, 12-10, in the fifth set to advance Sunday.
Television coverage for Tuesday's matches begins at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Those who can't get to a TV, or would rather watch online can log on to WatchESPN.
