The second round of the 2013 French Open will begin on Wednesday, but before it does, a few first-round matches postponed from Tuesday will have to finish. The full schedule will make for an exciting day of tennis with a number of the sport's biggest stars set to take the court.
On the women's side, seven of the top 10 seeds will be in action on Wednesday, including No. 1 seed Serena Williams. Williams will face Caroline Garcia in the second round. No. 3 Victoria Azarenka will attempt to advance to the second round when she faces Elena Vesnina in a match which was postponed on Tuesday. No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska, No. 5 Sara Errani, No. 7 Petra Kvitova, No. 8 Angelique Kerber and No. 10 Caroline Wozniacki are also scheduled to play on Wednesday.
No. 2 Roger Federer headlines Wednesday's men's action as he faces Somdev Devvarman in the second round. No. 4 David Ferrer and No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will also play their second-round matches while No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic plays against Nicolas Mahut in a first-round match delayed from Tuesday.
Wednesday's matches are scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. ET with the day's television coverage beginning on ESPN2. ESPN2 will broadcast the first five hours of coverage, with the action shifting to the Tennis Channel at 10 a.m., where it will remain until 7 p.m. There will also be live streaming available on ESPN3.
