Matches have already begun on the tournament's second day, and Serena Williams, the top seed in the women's tournament, is among them. Williams is taking on against Luxembourg's Mandy Minella and won the first set 6-1. Six-seed Li Na has already defeated Michaella Krajicek 6-1, 6-1. Some other notable names with matches in progress are eight-seed Juan Del Potro (vs. Albert Ramos) and 13-seed Tommy Haas (vs. Dmitry Tursunov).
The top-seed in the gentleman's tournament, Novak Djokovic, will take on Florian Mayer later today at Centre Court, followed there by a match between four-seed David Ferrer and Martin Alund. Seven-seed Tomas Berdych faces Martin Klizan later, and nine-seed Richard Gasquet faces Marcel Granollers. On the women's side, four-seed Agnieszka Radwanska takes on Yvonne Meusburger.
