Serena Williams advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon with another dominant showing, this time setting aside Kimiko Date-Krumm on Saturday, 6-2, 6-0. The win extended her streak to a career-best 34 consecutive victories, just one behind the 35 consecutive wins accomplished by her sister, Venus Williams, in 2000.
The streak is still far from the 74 straight wins accomplished by Martina Navratilova. The win marked another milestone: It was the 600th of Serena's career.
Williams will advance to face No. 23 Sabine Lisicki of Germany, who advanced with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 win on Saturday against No. 14 Samantha Stosur of Australia.
Lisicki was the only lower seed to win on Saturday, as No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska, No. 6 Li Na and No. 8 Petra Kvitova all avoided upsets in the third round and advanced. Na came the closest to danger of the remaining top 10 seeds, finally eliminating No. 32 Klara Zakopalova with an 8-6 victory in the third game.
The full bracket for the women's singles tournament can be found on the Wimbledon website. The fourth round will be held on Monday with a 1 p.m. ET match scheduled for Williams.
