The third round of the 2013 U.S. Open is underway and a handful of the world's top players are in action on Sunday afternoon.
Andy Murray made quick work of Florian Mayer, winning in three sets, 7-6, 6-2, 6-2, to advance to the fourth round. Murray continues to impress since winning Wimbledon two months ago and has to be one of the favorites as the quarterfinals approach.
Tomas Berdych, ranked No. 5 in the world, swept No. 31 Julien Benneteau in three sets, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2. Ninth-seeded Stanislas Wawrinka had some trouble putting away Marcos Baghdatis, though he was able to win in four sets, 6-3, 6-2, 6-7, 7-6.
There are a couple of key matches to keep an eye on later Sunday evening, including top-ranked player Novak Djokovic facing Joao Sousa and No. 12 Tommy Haas squaring off with No. 21 Mikhail Youzhny.
