KG's "ACT" is getting old

Over-exaggerated chest pounding at the beginning of games, crawling like a dog,  taunting much smaller players, calling out team mates the way he does, and all the antics on the court are getting old.  Pull that dog-crawl garbage in the old ABA and you get your teeth kicked in.  It just shows a lack of respect to all involved from the players and  fans to the refs, to the game itself.

I was born and raised in Portland and bleed Blazer red , but have also been a fan of the Celtics all my life and wear celtic gear often.  Larry Bird is the greatest player ever to suit up and I will argue that till I die.  I seriously doubt though that if Larry was on this Celtic team he would  tollerate KG's garbage.  Hell,  the Celtic fans in the Garden durring the 80's wouldn't tollerate it.  It's embarrassing.  The whole league is fed up wth it, and most fans are fed up with it too.  Winning isn't an excuse to behave like a spoiled brat.

Maybe it's not his fault.  Maybe he's a product of his enviroment, always having an assortment of silver spoons to choose from, I don't know.  I can no longer defend his act so it's time for me to put away my non-Larry celtics gear until he's gone or grows up, whichever comes first.  It's really to bad that winning has to come with such a cost.

Also, thank you for the ass-kicking last night, we needed to have things put into perspective around here (PDX).  This rant has nothing to do with the Blazers loosing last night, loosing like that is part of the process and I can easily except that.  What I don't like excepting is this: KG is a jackass and I can no longer defend his grade-school antics.  All we have (sports-wise) in Portland is the NBA.  We know it, we love it, we breathe it, we bleed it.  If you walk around the city with any NBA apparel on you will not get from point A to point B without talking hoops with someone, usually a stranger.  I've spent the last year+ defending KG while I'm wearing green.  Not defending the C's (we respect a winner), but defending KG.  I just can no longer, with good consious, defend a person like that.

I guess it's like having Raheed Wallace around, You don't really like the guy but because he's got your uniform on you cheer for and defend him, you just wish he would carry himself in a manner that reflects well on the city that he represents.
