Card Chronicle Feelin' Optimistic...

Is anyone else feeling optimistic about tomorrow's game? Maybe it was the 8 point thrashing of Arkansas State...but I feel good about the Cards chances in Morgantown tomorrow.

Actually, I think deep down I'm thinking...the only thing that could possibly secure Krag's job is a few unexpected wins...so with our luck he'll pull off a victory against WVU and South Florida and keep his job for next year...

In summary - regardless of the reason - I actually think Louisville has a shot tomorrow. Honestly...that's no joke. I'll be more suprised by a WVU blowout than I will be by Louisville winning.

Card Chronicle Let's try this...

I'm sure most of us (at least 50%...well, at least 30%) have a lucky Louisville shirt that they wear for games. Mine is a Louisville sweatshirt that I got in 2002 before the basketball team played UC. I'm not all that superstitious, but I am when it comes to this damn sweatshirt. I've gone through periods of wearing it everyday during football and basketball seasons...to only wearing on gamedays...to not putting it on until right before kickoff/tipoff...I've done it all. And it only gets washed when the Cards lose - which makes it clean as a whip right now - kinda nasty at the end of last year's basketball season...

Consequently, I have a different Louisville sweatshirt that is the "anti-lucky" sweatshirt. It's as ugly as a Louisville shirt can possibly be and it's uncomfortable and I don't like it. I've only worn it a few times since I got it 2 years ago (got it for Christmas, so it was during basketball season) and Louisville lost the next game they played. I only wear it in the off season - and since it's a sweatshirt - gets very little wear. Until now....

What I propose is that everyone STOP wearing their lucky or usual Louisville gear during games and instead wear only their "anti-lucky" gear. Many of you might not have an "anti-lucky" shirt, so wear the shirt that has been stashed in your closet for years...the one that might be stained or too tight or dyed pink becuase it was so damn cheap that the color ran together and you refuse to wear a pink shirt....wear the f'in pink shirt.

I'm going old school and wearing my "anti-lucky" sweatshirt everyday this week leading up to the UC game. I am doing this in the name of the Cards hoping that my reversal of attire leads them to victory....join me...we've got nothing to lose...

Go Cards.

Card Chronicle Cincy clearly looked the best in the BE...

Cincinnati clearly looked like they are going to be the dominate team in the Big East after destroying Rutgers yesterday. I'm sure everyone enjoyed seeing Rutgers get a taste of their own medicine after they manhandled the Cards last year...

It's hard to tell how good South Florida and Pittsburgh will be...and UCONN and Syracuse clearly look beatable (we all know looks can be quite deceiving).

But the question I pose is...how much worse is Indiana State than Liberty? And was it a worse victory for West Virginia to only win by 13 over Liberty and allow them close to 300 yards of total offense? I think they may be in for a long year.

I still think UL can take Southern Miss and Arkansas State, will win 2 out of Rutgers, W. Virginia, UCONN and Syracuse and have a shot at Kentucky. I think 6-6 is possible.
