Hello there.... I am from St. Louis and will be attending the Blues @ Red Wings game on January 23 with my best friend. We have never been to Detroit, and we are looking forward to our trip to the Joe.

We are flying to Detroit Metro Airport, and staying downtown near the arena.

There is no shuttle to/from the airport provided by the hotel, so can someone let me know what our best option would be for transportation to/from? Cab ride is estimated to be around $55.... one way. Is there a subway or train system in place?

Also, any tips on eating/drinking places downtown near the arena?

So another blow to the Blues roster.  Maybe I am just in denial, but I still have hope that we can weather the storm.  This team looked so promising during the first dozen games of the year. Maybe we can hold on and make an epic playoff push again this season...

I really hate to post this on here, (dont want GT to become a ticket exchange site)..... but I am looking to buy 2 el cheapo tickets to the Blues/Red Wings game for November 28.  Everything online has rediculous ticket fees, or just jacked up pricing.  If you have extras or such, shoot me an email.... Pardon me as I laugh at all those poor Chicago fans.......

Some are already calling this is part of the on-going "curse" that Hossa brings to the table.  They mention how this may have happend in the playoffs, but would Chicago be putting up big bucks for YEAR 1 of the contract, knowing this injury was there?

I guess we will soon find out..... btw, any word on Jackman's knee injury from last season?

Is anybody going to Kansas City again this year to catch the pre-season game at the Sprint Center? Its on September 22, with the LA Kings playing the NY Islanders.

I made the trip last year when the Blues played (got interviewed by SLGT....brad i think?).

Anyways, even though the Blues aren't playing, me and some friends are gonna take the Amtrak again and catch the game and drink some beer.

Anybody else going?

My buddy has created a new Facebook group, appropriatly named "We hate the Redwings!".  We are trying to get this to be one of those groups that like 2,582,571 end up joining..... much like the SLGT fan page will be someday.
