Rosenthal's Season Predictions
He has us winning the Wild Card and losing to the Red Sox in the World Series, calling us the "best team in Florida". So can we slow down with the "Everyone hates us" crap?
Capitol Avenue Clubs makes Failblog
They don't get why the poll was done that way. Obviously not students of baseball.
Steve Philips Fix My Team
I know he's the first person i would seek advice from.
Kawakami Clears Waivers, Outrighted to AA
Interesting to read down at the bottom that KK wasn't even invited to travel with the team to San Fran for the playoffs. Sad ending to his major league experience.
"He’ll pitch out of the ‘pen," Cox said. "We still need him, in case someone’s sick or whatever. Now he’s used to starting [again]."
So its safe to say Kawakami will never pitch for Atlanta again?
"We’re a tough, gritty team. Which, to be honest with you, really wasn’t the personality of the Braves in the few years past. I just think we have a little bit of a different personality out there on the field, and it shows in the kind of games that we play and the kind of games that we win."
I knew there was something different about this team: We have the Eckstein quotient! World Series, here we come!
Chuck James involved in combined AA no hitter
Ol' Chuck threw 5 no hit innings for Harrisburg. Good to see him on the recovery trail.
Salty makes 12 bad throws in one game
I hadn't really thought about Salty in a while, and then saw this headline. This is pretty weird, hope he gets it together.
Dodgers lose fifth straight
5 in a row? Ha. We got 9 in a row. Suck it LA.
Roy Oswalt loses childhood home in tornado
Pretty miraculous that just about all that was left standing was the closet his mom was hiding in. Its a shame that all his memorabilia was unsalvageable. I've always liked Oswalt, he just seems like a good ol' boy.
This is a pretty amazing play, this guy's got ups!
"You did great on my birthday gift. I love that book, i can't put it down. Its got everything i want to know in it."
My dad, a week after i gave him the Talking Chop Annual for his birthday. I had no idea how much he'd enjoy it. Just thought i'd pass this along to say well done.

Gammons: Heyward Works Hard to Play Hard
Good article by Peter Gammons about Heyward's upbringing.
THE BRAVES SHOULD HAVE SHOPPED DEREK LOWE HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE IN ATLANTA THEY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN RID OF HIM AND KEPT VASQUEZ
We don't get many chances to build a snowman here in GA, so naturally this happened.

Catcher Ryan McCann is recognized as the league’s best at his position.
I said I would put this up when i completed it, so here it is. Those are autographed manufactured patches, and I received the "R" card as a Christmas present. One month of obsessive ebay searching later, my quest is complete. As I said in another post, I'm hoping for a nice rebound and many years in a Braves uniform to come for Jordan Schafer.
Heyward Interview at Rookie Development Program
Because we can never get enough.
Bowman on Damon, Glavine, Johnson
Looks like we can calm down about Johnny Damon, as it appears he'd have to drop to around $1-2 million. Also, McCann describes Kelly's new plate approach as "Wow". But remember, Chipper declared Francouer would hit cleanup during winter BP last year.
LaRoche says Braves haven't contacted him
"No talk from ATL that I know of. Guess I should have hit .400 while I was there."
LaRoche seeking 3 year, $31.5 M deal
Don't expect Adam to accept that one year deal in the next few days.
Phillies eyeing Smoltz
"Heard Smoltz's agent told them "no problem" w Citizens Bank Park"
Royhobb's Karl Malone comparison is becoming truer by the day.
Free Agency Arbitration Explained
mlbtraderumors has a nice little explaination for the arbitration process for free agency.
Braves Sign Juan Abreu
We sign an ex-Royal for a change of pace.
Trades of the Decade: Teixiera to the Braves
Some days you just feel like stirring up trouble. Here's a link to a mlbtraderumors review of the always hot button topic of the Mark Teixeira trade. Discuss.
"He (Prado)plays right field on a regular basis in Venezuela [in winter ball], has for the last few years," Cox said. "He's a possible candidate, depending on what we do with Kelly. We just can't give up on Kelly. He had too good of a solid year last year."
Johnson Decision, Other Loom for Braves
I'm not sure if this is classic Cox spin, but this seems like a 180 from what we saw for the second half of the season.
The Bish Strikes Again
Another gem from Bisher. State a theory, give background info, do nothing to argue your case, and then ramble about unrelated subjects to close out the article.
The premise this time: The Wainwright and Texeira trades cost us our shot at the postseason. Enjoy.
