Royce White to Fly to Away Games

5

"The important detail, White said, is that those days ahead will include next Friday at Oklahoma City. At Oklahoma City. He will be on the team charter, in other words, hoping to put to rest any uncertainty about whether anxiety issues and subsequent disagreements on treatment and how to handle difficulty with flying contributed to a contentious relationship with the Rockets." "White said he will be at every game if he is eventually signed for the rest of the season, with travel details to be worked out amid the possibility of being able to drive from OKC to Dallas, for example, for the back-to-back. "

Geoff Petrie Interview

5

A nice interview with Geoff Petrie, who reflects on his time with the Kings among other topics. He was and will always be a class act, but even Petrie felt the need to put in a little notice about what motivated many of the trades during his last few years (hint: It involves cash and a certain ownership group that lacked it).

Kings going after Luke Ridnour?

24

From CBS Sports: "Several teams have called Milwaukee about point guard Luke Ridnour, including Washington and Sacramento, a league source said. The Bucks are also fielding calls about their young players, as teams are dubious that owner Herb Kohl is serious about going through the pain of a youth movement."

Nothing too shocking here, but still interesting to read. If there's one thing that IT isn't missing, it's confidence.

How to Write Your Standard "Play Jimmer Because He is God" FanPost in Five Easy Steps

1. First explain how Jimmer has been vastly under-appreciated, hated upon, been subjected to racism, has been on a short leash, etc. Many people seem to forget this, and it is a "must" to include...

If We Don't Get Wiggins.....

26

...this Jabari Parker guy is not a bad consolation prize. Here are some of his highlights in the Duke "Countdown to Craziness" scrimmage. The Wiggins vs Parker debate always ended up as Wiggins being the superior athlete (fast, explosive, high-leaper, etc.) who has all the tools but lacks the killer instinct, and Parker being the player with the high basketball IQ, great hands, great post-up ability, and refuse-to-lose mentality (athletically, he has been compared to Carmelo and Paul Pierce, so not a bad athlete, just no where near LeBron and Wiggins level). It will be very interesting to see how both do on their respective teams. I feel like Jabari would be a better fit on this team than Wiggins at this point, so seeing how they develop and play against some great competition is going to be very important.

ESPN Franchise Rankings 2013: Kings Ranked Dead Last

Always interesting to look at these rankings, although someone obviously wasn't paying attention when the Maloofs sold the Kings. With the Maloofs, this is an easy statement to take. But with Vivek and company? Should be interesting to see the reasoning behind that.

Seattle Times: Sonics Guaranteed to Return Next Year?

10

"And virtually every player, coach, team official and media member who greeted Calabro did so carrying optimism about the imminent return of the NBA to Seattle. 'They are giving me a wink and a nod that it looks good, you guys are back in the league next year,' said Calabro, who worked events this weekend for ESPN Radio. 'And I'm the one that's got to tamp it down a little bit.' "

Seattle Group Offering Less Than Reported $525 Million?

6

"As for Seattle, the ownership group led by Chris Hansen has made an offer to the Maloofs, but NBA sources said the amount is short of the reported $525 million." Hmm... Although the article does continue on to say that "According to Forbes Magazine, the Kings are the 23d most valuable NBA team at $300 million, so it’s highly unlikely the Hansen group would offer nearly twice that," meaning that the Globe is apparently unaware of just how badly Hansen wants an NBA team in Seattle.
