Bless You Boys Here is my line-up!

I am going to be honest: I sometimes fantasize about just what sort of line-ups the Detroit Tigers could field in the 2012 baseball season.

Uh, okay, so on that whole bird sound mass communication/social networking site I joked about writing a recap for today's Tigers-Yankees series finale. I have the day off from work so I settled in for a nice sleep, only waking up to use the bathroom.

Bless You Boys The Hall of Kind of Okay

For years people (especially people on the internet) have been trying to come to grips with what entails a Hall of Fame career. However, what about those players that are merely "ok" or on the verge of being "ok"? Why do people ignore the contributions to baseball that "ok" players bring? The time for the "ok" player to get their day in the sun has arrived thanks to the Troll Underpass Magnet School's "Hall of Kind of OK"!

The Troll Underpass Magnet School, known as TUMS, is wholly recognized by maybe 2 people and known for its appreciation of baseball players most people overlook. The "Hall of Kind of OK" is a place where we applaud diving headfirst into first base to beat out a throw in a 10-0 game. The HoKoO is a shrine to all those players that make up for their lack of tangible contributions with intangible things, like ghosts or something. But not scary ghosts, more like ghosts that are gritty and scrappy. The kind of ghosts you'd invite to dinner knowing they'll slide into the sitting room to break up the double annoying conversation.

Bless You Boys The Offseason Twitch Outpost.

Another offseason is upon us and while the playoffs rage on my ire for the Vile Cities Twins has not subsided.  I am able to watch a few playoff games despite the heartbreak of game 163. However, soon the playoffs will be over and then the countdown towards Spring Training begins (with the additional fun endeavor of trying not to vomit whilst the bobble headed parrots at ESPN and major sports outlets jockey for positioning to give Brett Favre his complimentry manual stimulation).

So what is there to do? Answer: talk about other things. Personally, I am looking forward to Dragon Age: Origins, starting a new Out of the Park Baseball 10 season (considering trying my hat replaying the 2003 Tiger season), figuring out a few things and eagerly awaiting the Venture Brothers season 4.

Let's not make Ian all crazy from off topic postings in threads and, um, discuss things. Oh, yeah, my name is David - that is easier to be addressed by than a string of numbers (no matter what their actual meaning).

Post Script: I still hate Nick Punto.
