My 53 man roster
After watching all the pre-season games and looking through the eyes of a fan AND an evaluator, after the jump i provide my prediction on the 53 man roster, and the PS.
Possible solution to return specialist?
According to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network and Mike Florio, The Dolphins are shopping Ted Ginn Jr. While there is no set asking price for Ginn, I would assume that he would not cost more than the 5th round pick in the Santonio Holmes trade recently. Ginn is a proven special teams ace, and was an AFC Special Teams player of the month. He's got serious talent, and still could be developed as a decent receiver (which also fills the 5th receiver role). Many people here were calling for a return specialist around this round, and the asking price could be even lower. What say you?
Eagles trade Donnovan McNabb to Redskins.
According to Adam Schefter's twitter account, the Eagles have traded Donnovan McNabb to the Redskins for a 2nd round pick this year and either a 3rd or 4th round pick next year, pending certain conditions that happen this year. This is quite a surprise, as the Redskins weren't really mentioned in the McNabb hunt much. THere were rumors flying that the Redskins might actually trade up to get Bradford, but I guess they decided that McNabb would be better. This also takes away a Vick trade opportunity, and the Eagles will look to use those picks wisely.
Jack Williams
I just now notice that Denver had waived Jack Williams and signed Ty Law. Since our corner depth is thinning every day right now, do you think that we should sign him? He's a very good Cover 2 corner, and a solid tackler and special teamer. I remember when he was in the draft I really wanted us to nab him, as I thought he would work out great here. I also seem to remember that the Colts were scouting him a ton. Thoughts?

Colts looking at Stover
Well apparently something is wrong with Vinny, because tomorrow he will be brought in for a look at kicker. I dont know why they would stick with Vinny and then look at another kicker. Maybe he re-injured his hip? I hope not, we really need Vinny to be 100% for later in the year. This was all from Mike Florio, but it appears to be a credible report. Hope that Vinny is ok.
Kelvin Hayden Injured
Kelvin was injured in practice Tuesday. It was a hamstring injury and he was carted off the field according to the article. This is very concerning, seeing as Hayden is a very talented corner (the best on the roster at that), and the defense was very different while he was out last year. Hopefully its just a minor strain and he will be back very soon, but the injuries are not looking good already in the season. Everyone better be healthy by week one because this team has the talent to win the big one this year.
Vick to the Eagles
ESPN just announced Vick has signed a 2 year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Sounds like a good fit for him, and could be interesting with both him and McNabb on the field on the same time. This, however, is a big surprise seeing as he was rumored to be going to be going to Buffalo or even possible the Steelers. Philadelphia should be a good place for Vick to get back on his feet and get back into football and start making plays that the NFL has sorely missed the past two years.
My Final 53
Looks like a tough day for the Colts Management coming up. They are going to have to cut some good players at several positions. List after the Jump
