The choice is simple keep both and build with trades and minor leaguers.  With Santana coming back and the huge salary he's commanding it will be difficult to make any free agency moves.  Fine, but why should a 110-120 million dollar budget prevent the Mets from signing Jose?  Get rid of guys making money and doing very little for the team! Players like: Beltran,K-Rod, Dickey, even Pelfrey and Pagan in order to keep Jose!

Should be questioned the last three years.  Fixing last years problems.  Time to think forwardly  and shrewdly.

Implement a real plan to improve the club.  Not just try to do a patch up!!  Step number one should be to improve

the bullpen. Sign MIKE GONZALEZ AND KEVIN GREGG,  step number two is  trade for JUSTIN MORNEAU or

CARLOS PENA  and then sign JOHN LACKEY, and improve the bench, JUAN URIBE and L. NIX would do that.
