Uconn DVD
Hello all! I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I'm looking for a DVD of Uconn's awesome 2010-2011 post season run (including the BE tourney) akin to 2004's ConnQuest (which included full games and was pretty high production value for a school dvd). The only thing I've been able to find (on Uconnhuskies or Amazon) is this: http://www.amazon.com/UConn-2011-National-Basketball-Championship/dp/B004V8W50A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321356762&sr=8-1, which reviews says does NOT include full games and overall sucks. I'd really like to be able to watch the BE CHampionship games again, as well as some of the NCAA games. Anyone out there found something? Thanks!

A nod to U of L
Hey all,
I thought I would highlight the UofL sportsmanship showed on our blog, in direct contrast the Georgetown fans (see http://www.theuconnblog.com/2011/3/10/2041735/hoya-and-hate and the first 5 or 6 posts here for background: http://www.theuconnblog.com/2011/3/10/2041900/theopenthread-no-9-uconn-huskies-vs-no-1-pittsburgh-panthers). For the record, I HAAAATTTTEEE Pitinio, and don't think "Pitino" and "Class" should be used in the same sentence. I think that makes this post more impressive. I noticed a pretty consistent theme from the UofL people posting:

Great game by Uconn, congrats. You guys deserve to win if you play so well against our style after playing 4 games in the 4days before the game.

Another U of L fan here
Well, the Cards didn’t want the Huskies to feel bad losing three times to U of L in the same year so we figured we’d let you guys have one. Seriously, great effort by UCONN, an incredible week for you guys and big time congrats. We’re very, very proud of our Cards and tonight’s loss was no shame for us, just props to you. Kemba is unreal to watch and I was cheering for UCONN to beat Pitt because I like the team, not because I thought you guys would be easier to beat. His step back J was all time awesome in that game. Anyway, congrats again and let’s have both teams represent the BEAST in the tourney in victory.

good luck
Good luck from a Louisville fan. I love watching UCONN play, for me this is the perfect game to end the tournament.

Great game by UConn. You guys deserve this moment. Great game.
Our guys brought it and you all responded. No excuses or complaints here. Great basketball.
Best of luck in the NCAA’s.

Hoya and Hate
Anyone see the ridiculous rant posted in the Uconn-Georgetown game thread full 5 hours after game time by a particularly ineloquent Hoya fan? Hehe....
I have to say, I have never come across a lower form of life in my travels that you people from UConn. I don’t normally visit the fan sites from opposing teams, but somebody needs to put you people in your place. I’m sure that this win felt good, especially for the UConn graduates that have been feeling so defeated while in line to claim your unemployment benefits. First of all, you’re welcome. Second, I wouldn’t hire any of you clods to park my car. The only German import a UConn grad has ever been able to afford comes in a 12 ounce bottle. Do me a favor, quit asking me for change outside of Madison Square Garden, it’s unbecoming.

Good Losses?
'Bad Losses' has always been one metric the selection committee uses to complete the bracket. I also think it's a really interesting way of looking at a team's season: have they won the games they were supposed to? Did they drop any unnecessary challenges? Uconn, playing with house money, hasn't dropped a single 'bad game.' Sure, they lost games they could have (and should have) won, but none of those were to bad teams. A friend and I were discussing how useful the 'bad loss' criteria is, and the following is the result of that discussion. It is the top 25 (by collegerpi.com), re-ordered according to the average RPI of a team's losses. I thought people on here might find it interesting.

I agree that Uconn should closed out a few games better, and that Calhoun has difficulty with any type of zone D. Nonetheless, I think this is a relatively good sign. Of teams with more than 1 loss, it's Utah St. and Uconn as #1 and #2. Take from that what you will.
