As we well know, the TRUTH was derived from an interview of Shaq when he was at the Lakers.  Back in 2001, they lost a game to Paul Pierce and the Celtics.  Paul has worn that title (nickname) with pride. 

Shaquille O'Neal said "Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out."

This is the year we will see Rondo fully transition to the elite guard tier.  The chemistry building between Shaq and Rondo was good during the preseason.   I am forecasting a cool name will come from Shaq and it will be quite appropriate to match the advancements we'll see this year!

In many posts I keep reading "...we should bring back Posey!"  As I remember, we let him walk due to his desire for a 4th year guaranteed.  Admittedly, we suffered the following year with is presence being sorely missed.

Are we righting the "wrong" to bring him back, at the same terms we balked at in the first place?

History as I know it:
- Summer 2007, signed for 2 years at $6M, 2nd year his option
- June 2008, championship ring (his second)
- June 30th 2008, opts out and becomes unrestricted free agent with a desire to stay with teh Celtics
- July 2008, signed with Hornets, 4 years @ $25M

His contract runs out in 2012.  He will make $6.4 and $6.9 over the next two years.

Is this a good deal for us to use Sheed's contract on?

Can the following happen under current NBA rules?

1. Sheed commits to retire this summer
2. We pick up a replacement, using his contract as part of a trade
3. Rasheed retires with 'said' team this summer
4. After the All-Star break, Sheed comes out of retirement “ala PJ Brown”

I am interested in your thoughts about the viability of a deal like this happening.   The idea came after watching Z go to Wizards and then return to Cavs.  

I also thought that Rasheed needed to take the regular season off anyways, this time without pay!
