Born and raised in Philly where I stayed through a couple years of Temple before heading to dreaded Reskin country for Howard. Now I reside in not so sunny NorCal - in Tha Town specifically... where everyone wishes Al Davis would hurry up and croak so the Raiders could do something with all those pieces.

I'm sure we all know about DeMarco Murray absolutely murderizing the rams on Sunday. We all also know that we have a porous (though hopefully continually improving) run defense. On a scale of 1 - 10 how worried should we be about getting the ball crammed down our gullet by the hated Cowgirls? I'm sitting somewhere between a 7 and 8 myself... care to talk me down?

#2 seed here we come... (playoff predictions)

With this (HUGE) VICKtory today we've got a great chance to get the 2nd seed in the NFC and with it home field until the conference game. I'm sure that the Giants will still make the playoffs and may even win a playoff game against the Bears. We'll face a tough challenge in the Division round with NO coming to the Linc but we'll win in a shootout. THat's jus the beginning though. I don't see ATL having trouble with either CHI or NY in the dome and Matty "Ice" will continue his streak through the Conference game... you see where I'm going with this right? The team that hangs the second home "L" on Ryan is gonna be Vick in his triumphant homecoming. It's going to be poetic justice - we already know we can beat ATL, did so earlier in the year. With the speed we have the dome is to our favor.
After that the rematch in the SB with NE's almost a letdown... ALMOST. This time around, unlike after the '04 season, the good guys win. All that to say - this my friends is the season of redemption for all of us, not just 7... he's simply the one taking us there.

i don't get it. I know, I know... it was a lot -but- isn't the letter of the law "after the score"? he didn't do anything after scoring - he celebrated excessively while scoring, and there's no rule against that afaik.
what if they add padding...
to the outside of the helmet?
I'm not saying don't have a hard layer, just why does it have to be the outermost one? wouldn't a softer shell necessarily help to reduce the impact of helmet to helmet hits?

Hey folks-
I'm a native philadelphian that's lived in the bay for about the last decade or so. I've tried (and tried) to support the Raiders, ya kinda have to right.... it's either them or the whiners here in the Bay and the silver & black is more my style. I watched the steep decline from the Gruden years between my fingers (with my hand covering my eyes, cause it's so ugly). I don't have the ticket so I can't even see my iggles unless they're on MNF (or SNF), playing one of the home teams or I go to a bar with the ticket (damn you Dapper Lounge for closing!). Now my little 9 year old nephew is getting into football and I really want to take him to the game on Sunday - it'll be his first pro game. I'm just wondering if anybody out here in Silver & Black Pride land has a couple of tickets they're not using for Sunday? Look at my profile, I've been a member here for a while - I really do support the Raiders (well, kinda - Al makes that hella hard) and I promise not to rub Sunday's outcome in.
