I'm on vacation  in California, and I'm wondering if I should go to the Suns laker game rocking a Nash jersey and give
Staples Center a bit of Laker fans own medicine.  You know, yell obnoxious shit that shows I know jack about the game of basketball while simultaneously talking like I'm an expert, backing my reasoning with asinine rationale like 'haters gonna hate'....or are there any cool sports bars I should check out instead.

Looking for advice from LA BSotS'rs and the cool SSR Peeps I've come to know.

In 2008, after Shaq /Porter epicus failnanticus breed of basket ball had become extinct. Grant 'BAMF' Hill was a free agent...and a highly coveted one at that. With a very favorable production to contract ratio New York among others made a push for him. No doubt Dantoni's pitch included a conversation about the summer of 2010 and becoming instant contenders. Also in the mix was Boston, thinking that bringing Grant off the bench to spell Pierce might be the push that gets them over the hump. Seeing as how they took the Lakers to 7 games, they might have been right. Also on Grants plate was the fact that Shaq was dumped for cash neither Amar'e or Nash had been extended, all sign pointed to re-building mode. He opted to stay... not long after Nash signed an extension. There's been lots of discussion about how they should be traded to contenders to give them a shot. In the summer of 08 they had that opportunity,they're destiny was in they're hands...they had no Idea if Amar'e would be there, they didn't know Lopez, Dragic, Dudley, Lou and Richerdson would put up career years. They choose to stay, to play the game they're way, not to go the whole rent a Shaq rout.

Alex has already written an excellent article about the ramification of a Nash/Hill trade to the Suns, but what about the ramification to the game and to the dynamic duo. I'm not one for rosterbating and for purposes of this post the details are not important. I present theatrical scenario's of chip chasing.

So around the time the Suns where making the Spurs look like Easter Island monoliths, I decided to do something I thought I'd never ever...EVER! do. I started blogging. There are many reasons why I've never thought this was in the realm of possibilities but the main reason was...Drum Roll Please...I CAN'T SPELL!!!!! further more I've never learned to type.  Furtherer morer I think proper grammar is for sissies. But everyone was having so much fun sharing their opinions, crack'n wise and just general poo flinging. I thought to myself...I have opinions...I crack wise...I fling poo!!! I want to play too. So I followed my life long philosophy and said fuck it I'm doing it. My typos and misspellings are atrocious and I know this. When I turn on the spelling and grammar check, my documents look like it's Christmas. At least twice per paragraph I spend fifteen minutes just trying to get close enough on a word for spell check to guess what I'm trying to write (superfluous took longer). However, part of the problem is not me it's the English language (I blame keify). Really, it makes no damn sense! Especially the vowels. Even the word vowel has a superfluous vowel in it. A bird of prey that hunts at night is an owl, if I add a vee sound in front of it, I should be good right?...Hell no we have to wedge an e in there. OK, a bird of prey that hunts at night is an owl so if I now add a B in front of it what do I get? A Bow-ELL. Some how adding B in front of O W L turns a W sound into an H sound. Will the Cardinals ever return to the Super Bowel? That's as likely as them changing their mascot to an Owel. Pat, I'd like to buy a Vowl. how does this make sense?

If there is anything I have a harder time with then vowels, it's consonants. Why are letters randomly tacked on to shitt? and how do you no when to addd them? Why do we allow these sand bagging letters to exist. If you work with someone who does precisely squat and ads nothing to the company, do you say that person is a silent employee? No you call him worthless (or Sun Godd). All and all this is a really inefficient language. Here's an exercise, they're there and their. Swap these words out with each other when you talk and see if anyone notices. Then try we're were and where. Rite, write and right. Know one will ever notice.

Dear hawks fans Jchill will break out in the desert we are extact about this

I joined BSoTS a few days after I'm a diehard Suns fan and mine was one of the many hearts ripped out by Timmy and Co. all those many years...So what's my Point? It had never occurred to me to join a sports blog until the Suns Spurs series.  Don't know why but I started to check  PtR and BSoTS before and after every game...I was hooked.  the way you guys know your team inside and out, the way you really talk basketball, some FUNNY ass threads and post.  I was also really impressed with how you guys had real discussions with visiting Suns Fans.  And most of all, PtR has a genuine sense of community.  I kept wanting to chime in but wasn't sure about blog-o-etiquette  n'stuff.  Plus I didn't want be like one of those shit sacks who joins the day after a win and then starts comin over and commenting all over your site (yes that was Slight jab,,,I'm a suns fan I got to poke a little).  So hopefully the wounds aren't so fresh that you punch the moniter when you saw my screen name.  and now that I'm not crying over saterday anymore...at least not as much..(fuck'n kobe).  I thought I would come over here and thank PtR land.  I really enjoy BSoTS, but I got to be honest, seeing the respect you guys have for your team, the game, each other and other Fans, is what finally tipped me into joining SBN....Thank You

P.S. for next Play Offs...STOP BEATING UP OUR POINT GARD...He's ugly enough already.
