question from a former baseball fan
I used to be a baseball fan. Why no more? . well It has to do with my favorite players all ending up under indictment .Tell me ,does this sound familiar . A good ball player on a team you follow has a good year , not great but good. goes home for the off season . He comes into training camp the next year 20 lbs heavier, and twice as aggressive as the year before. He then proceeds to put up #`s that are flat out out of this world. Will i need to find another way to spend my spare time ?I sure hope not , but this feels awefully familiar.plese tell me i have nothing to worry about!!!!!!!
bottom 10 team in the league
boy !!! i cant emagine being considered this low in the rankings. did we soil his daughters prom night or something?
msp rips lamarcas
I was listening to the msp this am and was kind of shocked to hear chad and dwight ripping on lamarcas so bad. they called him garbage and said Green from okc has passed by Lamarcas as a player . they also said he was lazy because he got his 65 mil. chad called him soft as butter. Is lamarcas going to be the next rudy as far as fan backlash.I have always felt he was talented and would grow into being a more well rounded PF.,but it seems that the media is tired of waiting. I also noticed on courtside that mike rice was down on Lamarcas due to him bowing out of team USA. I could feel his distain although he is constrained from voicing it fully, seeing he workes for the team.Are any of you worried that this sort of comments will severely reduce Lamarcases trade value.?
has broy lost his mojo
I have been a huge supporter of the moves made to get us competative.Last yrs. team was very special, and the reason was Brandon looked to have superstar skills as well as desire.this year i`ve noticed that against the best teams He has not been at all effective.he still has wonderful games against lesser talent,but i`ve yet to see burning desire to win and take over a game like last year against any really good team....... why ?I dont know, but it`s been disapointing to watch the team struggle like last night, and not see him step up.(13 points !!!!!!!! really,?.)I know He is super talented but so was rasheed. I want killer instinct and unrelenting game dominance.is brandon too laid back to take us all the way? what do you all think,Inquiring mind want to know
draft report card
this article at hoopsworld doesnt give K.P. and company any credit at all for their picks this year.
ellis may bolt
over on todays dime mag there is a piece about how ellis and goldenstate maybe parting company.Seems that they want to keep on piling on the punishment.according to the article this may come to a head as early as december.ellis would demand a trade and G.S. would nulify his contract. Would his game fit ours? If you were KP would you pull the trigger on a deal to bring him here. what would you offer.inquiring minds want to know.
boy i would love to see what greg thinks about this.
porter in 2011
looking into my crystal ball ,this is coming through the mist. After two playoff runs ending in bitter disappointments at the hands of the phenoix in 08-09 in the first round and the lakers in 09- 10in the second round ,coach mac steps down as head coach . Meanwhile ,after a good run in his first year with the suns, terry `s second yr ends up with drop to 10th in the west. With aging stars well into their late 30s , porter finds that all he can look forward to is rebuilding from scratch. Kp sees the possibility of having portlands floor leader from the past as the new coach of ptb. Summer league comes and goes with no word on a new coach. portland needs to make a move before training camp begins. labor day marks the beginning of the porter era. { and the first of three straight blazer championships}
a change of tune
the recent expulsion of gary Glitter from vietnam steming from his child molestation conviction see http://www.comcast.net/articles/music/20080819/People.Gary.Glittter/ got me thinking that maybe the rose garden would be better off removing his tune from its cache of inspiring musical numbers. i feel that we could do without it. i know that everytime i hear it from now on ,rather than get pumped up ,i`ll be thinking of who`s song it is. like the hertz comercial with OJ simpson, I think it should just go away.
