He took a long time to think about this, so I trust that he can handle another year. Stability at that position is good too.

Music City Miracles congratulations to the Titans and some random playoff thoughts

just saw this posted on titans' website

http://www.titansonline.com/news/newsmain_detail.php?PRKey=6513

I think both were well deserved and I am especially happy for Jeff Fisher!

It's so great to go into the new year being able to immediately look ahead to Titans football, hopefully for a month or so!  I'm not too worried about our performance in Indy.  I believe that Fisher, Dinger, and Schwartz knew exactly what they were doing and they have a plan.  I hope to see SD in our first game and then Miami in the second.  If we play the ravens, it'll be a down and out fight as per usual, but we will prevail!

Happy new year to you all and go BLUE!

Music City Miracles report from the game

the game was ugly, but a win is a win.  overall, i thought the ravens played  a better game, i think the stats will show it...yardage, number of first downs, time of possession...but not in the stat that matters!!!!!  oh yeah!!!!  with all those personal fouls you could definitely tell this was a bitter rivarly.

random thoughts--

crumpler had lewis' fooled---nice route!  collins' second pick, you could have seen that from a mile away.  i didn't get to see the replay of our first pick that was reversed--was it a good call?  we got very lucky on the roughing the passer call that propelled us to our winning drive.  I sat right behind the titans' sideline and VY was up, talking to teammates, talking to coaches, and congratulating  all players--after our second field goal, he went halfway out on the field to congratulate the st unit.  he seeme to be all about the team..even in warm-ups when he was taking snaps.   there were a few proud titans fans there.  it was refreshing to see a little two-toned as a i scanned the seats or walked around.

selfishly i'm hoping both the titans and ravens finish first in their divisions, so that they get to play next year.  i love seeing the disappointment on my friends' faces when the titans take care of business.  does anyone know if that game, shoud it happen, will definitely be in nashville or could it be in tennessee?

Music City Miracles Who will be at the game?

Just wanted to see if anyone from the site will be at the game.  I will be there--it will be my third in person oiler/titan game ever and I'm super excited for it.  Growing up in b'more without a team was tough (the ravens didn't arrive til I was in high school)--so I adopted the oilers and have been loyal since.  Needless to say, at the local sports bars I'm not the most popular person and I'm sure the fans nearby me at the game on Sunday won't be too appreciative of my being there.  Everyone will know that I bleed two-toned blue, though---I just hope I don't literally have to bleed.....

Music City Miracles Lynch gets nothing......

HIT and RUN!!!!!  WTF.  nothing?  If I've learned anything over the R. G. years it is that what is said (or not said) in court doesn't necessarily matter.  It's image.  Hit and Run is not a good image.  Now I need to fill up space to meet the 75 word requirement and I refuse to mention our favorite dallas cowboy and how he's been a scapegoat and it is very frustrating sometimes.

Music City Miracles Chris Carr....

is a Titan!  Apparently, Oakland passively let him go.  The Titans were notified by the NFL that Oakland didn't match the offer.  Here's the link to the Tennesean article:

Hopefully, he will represent the spark we need.

Music City Miracles Sherman Smith to the Redskins?

Here's a little piece of news out of DC.  We have Smith under contract, so he would have to have Fisher's blessing.  What do you guys think?  And I'll keep writing until I meet the 300 character minimum, but I do think this piece of news does warrant a separate diary.
