Any other year I would say we are in a world of hurt, but the 2008 CUBS can destroy any team on any field. All we have to do is score some f....ing runs. If we score first on Saturday it's over. This team has to many veterans to through in the towel and lay down. We do need to make some changes however.

1) sit Spitter or tell him to quit swinging at ever pitch that is low and outside

2) put Fontenot at second base and Derosa in right

3) walk Manny even time even if the bases are loaded

4) never let Sean Marshall see the mound again

5) create runs early in the 3rd, 4th and 5th games by using the hit and run and bunting

That should be enough to get us to the NLCS.

Why Soriano is on a hot streak!!

Last Friday my dad sat in the left field bleachers. I had bought him a Soriano jersey for his birthday. At the start of the game he yelled down to him and stated what he thought of his performance this season. He turned around for a moment and I was so embarassed I lowered my head. I gave my dad a break as this was the first time he had been there in sixty years. Since then he is hitting .468 with five homeruns. Good job dad!!

Al,

Thanks for mentioning my Dad being at the Friday game and meeting you. We had a great time and even got a homerun ball for him. I think I need to get season tickets as the Cubs are 6-1 in the last seven games that I have attended. They also are won the last four games to close out the last three series. Thanks again and we will see you in July!!!
