With each and every passing day, it looks like we'll be left with project, and conspicous Big-Men in this years draft. Seeing how alot of these projects usually go bust, or turn into franchise players we should do the best thing to ensure a smooth transition. Like how Yao, KG, Duncan, and Andrew Bynum have developed under great tutelage, we need to hire a great NBA foward-center to mentor our young bigs. Most of the current NBA bigs have blossomed under great mentoring and previous NBA Greats.

Yao was mentored by Patrick Ewing,

KG had Kevin Mchale,

Andrew Bynum had Kareem Abdul-Jabar,

Duncan had David Robinson,

All these current stars were tutored by past bigs, with great post games. I can think of a few that our probally stil avaliable.

James Worthy, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Arvydis Sabonis, Bill Russell, Karl Malone.

One of these few I mentioned got to be some what bored with their day jobs, and wouldnt mind passing on the knowledge they have.

Like how we hired Sydney Moncrief to assist with our free throws, this would be something we can do without drastically changing tht team. It would be a low risk, high reward situation, if it were to work out.

What do you guys think?

I've always been curious of this topic, how do players playoff salaries work?

Do they get paid for every game played? or for every playoff win?

I ask this because if a player gets paid per season is that including playoff games? if it was then players on playoff teams are actually getting paid less.

Anyone on knowledge on this feel free to drop the dime.

A (Non) Trade Diary

Trade diaries are popping up and down on this site, so much my index finger is hurting from scrolling too much.

So in light of the many trade diaries we have, I have chosen to talk about something else.

I was at the Sun's game yesterday and this was my second time watching them play at Roaracle.

I couldn't help but notice how the suns readjusted their game philosphy against us, and for a while it worked.

If you guys happen to notice when the sun's were on offense, they ran the same play probablly 20 times through of the game: Nash holding point. get's a screen from Bell and Baron forced to switch gets mis-matched guarding Diaw in the post. Diaw obviously towering over Baron would back Baron down, Jackson would come and help, and Diaw kicks it out to either Hill, or Barbosa on the wing, and they hit the three.

I've watched every Warriors game this season, and can tell you this is our true weakness when defending. Any team who has a PF capable of passin out of a double team, and a capable 3-point shooter runs, this same play on us everytime, and most of the time they win. I see this happen all the time when we play Detroit, Boston, Phoneix, New Orleans, and Utah.

This is how teams beat the Warriors, I wonder if Nellie (obviously he does, but does nothing.) see's the same thing too. That's why I always get worried if our opposing opponent has a pretty capable PF, it's truly one of our major weakness.

What do you guys think?
