So rumor is that one of the players headed to the Dodgers in the Juan Pierre deal is John Ely.

Ely, 23, went 14-2 with a 2.82 ERA with a Southern League leading 125 strikeouts in 2009 after being the Sox's 2007 first-round draft pick.

Thank goodness it wasn't Melville or Montgomery.

Wow.

Just thought it'd be kind of interesting to go back through the MiLB season and check out how our guys did against our newest Royal Big League Roster addition.

It's worth noting that Osuna started on the mound for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on opening day of the 2009 A+ season.  If you don't want to check out all the inning by inning stuff, you can just know that he faced the Blue Rocks 3 times.  17.0, 16 H, 8 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 8 K, 0 HR, 2.12 ERA

Moustakas was 2-8, 2 singles, 3 RBI, 1 K.  Bianchi was 2-8, 2 singles, 2 RBI, 1 K.  Derrick Robinson was 3-9, 1 K, 3 R, 4-4 SB.  Lough was 3-8, double, 2 RBI.  Giavotella was 2-8, BB, R.

Who carries MLB packages? Does Direct TV? Dish Network? Any other Satellite provider?

The wife and I finally broke down and bought a HDTV. Now we just have to get programming. I want something that gives me an MLB package.

Does DirectTV offer a MLB package? I know DISH network does not. However, is the MLB going solely to MLB.TV this year?

Wagner Mateo?

Here is the saga on Wagner Mateo. It's interesting. Now it sounds as though the Giants aren't going to sign him. Why don't we take the money we saved on Mark Teahan through the trade (approx $2.5 mill) and throw some of it at him? Is he worth the risk? So far we've not been linked to him at all which makes this something that will probably not happen. But I'm curious to the consensus of RR.
