Am I the only one? Retaliation?

I've never felt so angry about sports.. Not even when the Oilers blew it against the Bills... Not even when Robinson got the MVP over The Dream... Not even when, ah you get the point, but seriously: I've never been so angry...

This actually crossed my mind- We need to put in s scrub as a starter. Send him out there with the expressed purpose of elbowing Kobe as hard as possible in the back of the head or face...

I'm not proud of this thought... I don't even agree with myself... But seriously... If the league isn't going to defend us, isn't it up to us to defend ourselves?

Imagine if there was a pitcher in Baseball who just got a pass everytime he plunked a batter that gave him trouble on a regular basis. It seems that obvious to me...

The official "suspend kobe now" thread

Seriously... How can you avoid it at this point? You cannot elbow-punch people in the head or throat and get off scott-free like kobe has so far. Dwight was suspended, Alston will be, Derek and Ron may also sit next game. Grow some stones NBA. This isn't wrestling, and by that I mean that this sport should have some integrity. If Kobe isn't suspended, the NBA is just a ratings whore feeding the coasts on the Kobe and James teets... No better than the commish throwing a chair in the ring for Kobe to belt someone with while the inept officials bubble around like morons....

No Tech for Kobe? No mention anywhere?

How can Kobe's actions be ignored by the league?! Bryant took a cheap shot at Shane last night, while shane was pinned on the floor with his back turned! An intentional elbow to the back of the head of one of our key players defensively in this series and no call?!

So, if Howard elbows someone it equals a suspension, but if Kobe does it, "Oh he's just come out flat and he's trying to get fired up. Jordan did that all the time...." WHAT?! BS! If you elbow someone in the head with malicious intent, you should be suspended, period.

I understand Kobe's frustration, but that was cheap and low. He had Shane pinned, Battier did nothing wrong (other than defend well, maybe that's wrong in Kobe's mind), and the zebras couldn't have missed it... Not even a tech! I call BS and shinanigans... More corruption from the SBA (Stern Basketball Autocracy)... Kobe can't blame this on his sore throat... He should sit for a game.

This is basketball, not MMA... Kobe, you just joined John Stockton and Bruce Bowen in the Dirty Players Hall of Fame. The shame of it is that you don't need to take out Shane... You're good enough to beat him without giving him a concussion.

RICK, Please talk to Crazy Pills!

I'm a fan of the Ron-Ron, despite his recent lunacy (jawing at Kobe in a losing effort, putting himself in the same sentence as King James, etc.). Having said that, it's time for Rick to say something...

The weird improv dribbling must stop, and the passing needs to get more frequent... His current style is almost as bad for our offense as an injured T-Mac is for our defense.

For example, we had two opportunities last night (3/18 vs. Pistons) to put the game away and in both instances the ball was in Ron's hyper-active hands... The outcome was so predictable that everyone I was watching the game with was able to accurately predict Ron's failure to penetrate, failure to pass and success in jacking up a low percentage mid-range jumper... He would start dribbling and everyone would cry "AOHHH" in disgust, throwing their hands in the air...

Com'mon Rick! Is that really what you were drawing up? I seriously doubt it...

I'd have been much more comfortable with Yao and Wafer playing a little two man game on the left side with Battier hiding in the wing, or maybe a high pick and roll play via Scola and Brooks... I certainly would've talked with Ron after he dribbled out the clock and took a wild shot the FIRST time...

Just talk to Ron will ya? His heart is obviously in the right place and I'm sure he'll listen... Right? I hope? Rick? Ya listenin'?

I wanna puke! I hate T-Mac's Knees!

http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2008/11/bad_news_comes_in_threes_will.html

"My knee gave out on me," McGrady said. "They told me if I was to go back in, and they saw me limping they were going to take me back out. I was like, "Well, that's what you're pretty much going to see.' My knee is feeling right. I hate to do this, but I'm going to get an MRI tomorrow and until, further notice, I'm going to have to shut it down.

"Tonight, I went back to square one, like before even surgery. I've always been feeling it, but tonight, before that particular play, I came up and it just gave out on me. I've been trying to work my way into playing shape and strengthen my leg. I've never been 100 percent. I've just been hoping playing on it would put me over the edge and I won't have any more pain, but it hasn't worked."

#0vershadowed by the fight

I've seen SOME of the four-letter network's highlights from last night's game, but it seems most of their attention is focused on the fight. While this isn't suprising, it is a damn shame...

The rest of the nation may not care, but I believe more time should have been given to the game Aaron Brooks played last night. Outscoring everyone but Tracy with 19 points, blocking a fast break layup, 4 boards, and all of this from the bench with only 25 min. on the court!
