article : A nice little history of NFL Superbowl rings and the Steelers own history

"The Steelers are not a flashy football team. Their quarterback does not date supermodels or pose for fashion shoots in GQ. Coach Mike Tomlin and the Rooneys preside over a culture with zero tolerance for big egos and showbiz shenanigans. If Super Bowl rings are designed to reflect a team’s unique personality, that would seem to create a predicament for the Steelers. How to square their image as a bunch of modest guys who get the job done with a ring that keeps up with the Jerry Joneses?"

"This is how I feel -- if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, he [Obama] would've invited Arizona if they had won," said Harrison.

Harrison also skipped the Steelers' visit to the White House in 2006 following their victory in Super Bowl XL.

This guy is iconic.

In regards to the poll,

I'm pretty sure I would vote for Najeh Davenport if he had more chances to show himself, but the fact is he hasn't been able to.

Between Parker and Najeh I think we have a great one two punch, but we keep giving them the one and not the two. This is getting predictable for opposing defenses and has shut down some of Parker's effectiveness.

The depth of this team was seriously underestimated by the media this week. In spite of sidelining injury to 3 star players we came through like the premiere team we are.

We showed versatility in the running game; the combination of Tomlin's patience and alternating between the different running styles of Parker and Davenport took a lot of pressure off of Big Ben.

Speaking of Ben, he displayed a level of sensibility in the passing game which has a habit of coinciding with a win. Again I think this was thanks to a consistent running game that he was able to stay cool in the second half, but it wasn't too long ago I remember a certain Quarterback (rhymes with Yothlsnerder) who would have been throwing rotten tomatoes by the end of the second half.
