I would really like to hear some opinions and thoughts on what Pirate fans think the lineup of the team will look like in 4 or 5 years from now.  With the recent trade of Nady and Marte, the Pirates obviously are relying on current prospects and future trades to create their future team.  Current management is in full rebuilding mode as past management teams have been for the past 15 years.  Who will they keep, who will go, and who will be added?  Who are the 9 starters (and important bench contributors) for the 2012 National League Central Division winning Pittsburgh Pirates?

The team has done a great job of providing pieces and parts to both contenders and noncontenders over the past 10 years.  They have had some legitimate major league talent.  They have also relied on players that obvoiusly did not have the talent to be part of a playoff contender.  They were merely filling holes. The Pirates simply have not been able to keep together an entire roster of true major league talent capable of making a playoff run.  So, who will it be?  Who else will be part of a playoff contender for someone else, and who will help to lead the Pirates back into contention?  Or, for you pessimists, will it never happen?

Surely if the likes of Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, and Colorado can create a contender the Pirates can too.
