Merrill Hodge
I heard Merrill Hodge on M&M this morning basically call Dallas the best team in the league... ok not really, but he did say he thought the Eagles would lose to Dallas in week 17. He made some mention of this team being "different" than previous seasons and that the win in NO was "no flash in the pan"
I just don't get it... Until Dallas gets in the playoffs - much less actually wins a playoff game (is it 15 years?, im losing count), it's a flash in the pan. How exactly is this Dallas team different than last year or the year before? I would argue they are actually less talented and less dangerous than last year and certainly less talented than two years ago. They still have the same softy of a coach, and they still have Romo, which until proven otherwise can't get it done down the stretch. The simple truth is, the only difference in opinion is based on the Cowboys beating the Saints.
I'm just baffled how one win changes everything in this league. I dont care who you beat, one win would should not take you from "about ready to implode" to "incredibly dangerous."
I guess we'll see... but you heard it here first. This IS the same imploding dallas franchise that we've seen the past few years.

DeMarcus Ware
Hey guys - Just wanted to stop over and say that on behalf of Bleeding Green Nation, we wish DeMarcus Ware the best!
I hate to see anybody get hurt - especially like that. Here's hoping he is fine and able to return to playing.
We love to hate on the cowboys the way you guys like to hate on the eagles, but i trust none of us enjoy seeing an injury on the other side.
Get Well Demarcus

Would everone please relax?
Last year, we tied the bengals, lost to the bears, lost a must win to the skins (lost to them twice actually), and benched mcnabb in a horrendous outing with the Ravens and we wound up being one defensive stop away from the Super Bowl.
Now I understand completely everything that had to fall correctly for the playoffs to be a reality last year, but my point is, you just can't throw the towel in on this team this early in the season. We do this every year... it's like we forget that one, two, three, maybe even four bad games do not ruin a season. We're one game out of first in the East, and we are guaranteed another shot at Dallas in DeKyrptonember (There's a new buzz word for you)
On top of that, two of our losses have been to out of conference opponents.
The Eagles will not only make the playoffs, but will win the division

BGN Demographics
Just thought this might be interesting. I often am curious (see the justin update thread) about the people that post on BGN. Not to profile anyone based on age, race or gender but... again i just think it is interesting.
On top of that I'm going nuts waiting for another game to erase the taste of the dallas loss so it's something to kill the time.
I'll start:
I'm 25 years old, a white male, living in South Central PA and have my entire life. I'm a professional in the field in which i work, which unfortunately does not include pylons or an endzone. I am happily married to an Eagles fan. I've been on BGN since very near the beginning and chose the name 700 Level because I love the passion of the fanbase.

Season Tickets
This should be in a fanshot, but i figured I'd post it up here so that more people saw it and commented... I'm really curious where you guys are in line. I have to say, it impresses me that the Eagles have finally started letting us know periodically where we are in line
I am person number 16,895 in line
The last time I checked, the renewal rate was like 97% or something. At that rate, assuming there are 50,000 season tickets or so, I should be able to get them in the next 10-15 years. Except... maybe I should double that amount of time... can you even buy one season ticket by itself?

Merril Reese
So i have a good sourse for downloading the entire game footage after its over, which allows me to make some pretty cool highlights... however, does anyone know of a place where you might get Merril's calls of the plays?
The Eagles highlights on the website contain merrils voice but i'm not not smart enough to know how to rip that while its playing.
Any help would be appreciated

Fedex Field
Hey guys... I'm an Eagles fan.Lets get that out in the open. I'm looking for a little good natured advide here. If i dont get it, i understand. nothing personal. But i would do the same for you in philly...
anyway Ive been to fedex a couple times and both times i've taken the metro and walked from morgan blvd. the metro was a nightmare after the U2 show...
This time i am driving in to the game. I have no parking pass at this point and i know that i should avoid the cash lots or shuttle buses.
I've heard of this place called tailgate field off of 202 that is within walking distance to the stadium. Would anyone be willing to tell me how to get there?
Thanks.

FedEx Field
So for the second year in a row I have scored really cheap, yet good seats for the game monday night. Last year it was because the skins were already eliminated and the weather called for freezing rain. The rain never showed, but neither did the Eagles.
This year my $25 tickets are due to the fact that nobody wants to go see the worst run pro sports franchise in america and not get home til 2 am.
In any case, any BGNers joining me in Landover? If its like last year, the stadium will be close to split 50/50 anyway.
I have a question... anyone on here go to Fedex a lot? I've been there twice. Once for a game and once for a concert. I took the metro both times and am definitly never doing that again. Last month it took me four hours to get home from the U2 show ( i live an hour south of harrisburg). So this time I'm driving in.
I do not have a parking pass and its probably too late to get one on Ebay. Anyone know of any lots where you can park without a parking pass but still be within walking distance to the stadium? I want no parts of the shuttle deal.
Someone told me that they parked at the Largo Town Metro station and walked over. It was free and they avoided most of the stadium exit traffic. Wonder if there is any validity to this
