The Following Players - Please pick up your Uhaul Truck & Last Check
The following players have uhaul trucks waiting for them in the Heinz Field parking lot
* Ike Taylor - Very disappointing to see the highest paid non catching and tackling cornerback disappear
* Big Snack - Thank you but not at $4.0 mln for a 2 down player
* James Farrior - You aged like 10 years right before our eyes and turned into Larry Foote
* Trai Essex - Received a starting job by default, trust Ramon Foster is waiting to take your job right now
* Tyronne Carter - If you were any slower you would be an offensive lineman
* Deshea Townsend - Thank you my man, you've had some good years. You do know that you were playing tackle not touch football
Ben, love your ability to make a play. The day you learn to dump the ball to the running backs/TE or throw the ball away and not take a sack we will almost unstoppable. Learn the game, sometimes is just better to get what you can. Also, teams have figured us out. Play man to man with 2 deep safeties and it's a wrap.

Not Our Year
We waited from 1979 to 2005 to 2008... Sometimes it's just not our year... The defense is playing really tired, especially the secondary. PLUS, without Troy we are a very average secondary. His being out is tremendous blow to the D... The Chiefs, Raiders... r u kidding me...
* Ike doesn't want to come up and tackle... he's been reading his press as a shut down corner
* Gay is totally out of place and couldn't play man coverage is his life depended on it
* Ryan is out of position on simple play action. Keep the ball in front of you.
* 2 shoes Carter is a definite liability on D
* Please don't blame the game on the rookie Burnett... How many INT's has Ike dropped to seal the game. He actually tried to intercept the ball instead of knocking it down when Gradowski thru the Billy Kilmer duck...
Bottom line we need more help than New Jersey Nets to make the playoffs... Jacksonville must lose 2, which is a possiblity (Miami, New England, and Indy on their schedule), Bmore must lose to GB and us, Miami we must beat them head to head... Not worried about the Jets...
No one wants to see us with Troy P. on the field playing D back... Did we bring him back to early?

Liabilities on D
Just finished watching the Lions game and the following players looked very slow. We had the Lions on 3rd and 19 and they got a 1st down late in the 4th Qtr??? R u kidding me. We had to blitz the corner to get to Culpepper
1. James Farrior... Left in the dust by the running backs, similar to the Bengals game. Not a step slow, really 2 steps slow.
2. Ratliff... constantly getting beat by 5 yds or more. Northcut ran the same pattern all afternoon...
3. Deshea... Much better at safety than cover corner.... looks afraid to stick his head in on D.
4. Tyronne 2 shoes... they actually took him out for a couple of plays.
5. Where is Aaron Smith??? checking his bank account. We get minimum production from Smith and Kiesel with his nice new shinny contract..
FYI: Ben doesn't escape either. Stop picking out your receiver before the ball is snapped. That's why 2 int's occurred with 1 being overturned due to rough penalty. Hines was wide open for a TD but you made up your mind to pass to Heath.
FYI: Bruce Arians u didn't get greedy u got dumb... We're averaging 5.1 yards a rush. Run the ball fool, the defense is tired and doesn't want to take on blocks. Please find us another O Coordinator...

We're Satisfied
This team definitely looks satisfied with their accomplishments from 2009. No sense of urgency. No way James Farior doesn't tackle Brian Leonard on 4th and ten (where was Timmons, he definitely would have nailed him). Limas Sweed, what can we say, another year of drops. Mendendhall received 0 runs. Harrison and Woodley look like they are moving in slow mo. Casey Hampton was the only clear sack I saw (very impressive). Why didn't we send the house on 4th and 10 and make Palmer throw quick and tackle for less than 10.
Bottom line we better be 4-2 by the end of the next 3 games (Chargers, Lions, and Browns) or we can forget about the playoffs. I know we will be 4-2 by the end of the Browns game. No doubt in my mind.
We are leaving way too many points on the field. No the defense is playing up to 2009 capabilities. However, it's the offense turn to bail them out in 2010. Reed make some kicks (r u that pissed u didn't get a contract, at this rate it won't happen). Limas (Catch the ball, don't even think about running with it. Just fall down. Can anyone say Shawn McDonald.
Our 1st and 2nd round draft picks are misses and will be forever backups on the team until their contracts are up.

Redman will be better than Mendenhall
Reasons why Redman will be better than Mendenhall. Be honest when you watch games
* Redman has played running back his entire life from peewee all the way until now
* Redman has excellent vision and finds the whole no matter what
* Compare the spin moves, Redman spins and stays up right and gets additional yard and Mendenhall spins and falls down
* Redman catches the football and make people miss all day
* Redman wuns hard between the tackle and pushes the pile
* Mendenhall appears to be searching for the hole
* Mendenhall Turns his back and doesn't push the pile
* If FWP isn't resigned we will be in trouble with Mendenhall starting, but Redman will take his place.
* FWP or Mendenhall will go down with an injury and Redman will play
* Coming from a small black college (Jackson State), I think Redman is being overlooked

Jordan Gross and Vernon Carey
I think we have the opportunity to get 2 starting tackles with 5 years of NFL experience at the high end of performance. We paid over $14 mln to Starks ($6.9), Smith ($4.6), Kemauto ($1.4) and Essex ($1.0) in 2008. This is enough money to coax both of them to the Steelers.
This would allow us to move Colon to guard to compete with Simmons and Stapleton (both of sives and Stapleton was manhandled by Dockett - love Dockett). We would back up the tackles with Colon, Hill, and Parquet. We could also draft Max Unger in the 1st round who played Tackle and Center for Oregon. We could then go D line in the 2nd and 3rd and draft a corner or lineman in the 4th.
BTW, Deebo's and McFadden's new money is coming from Batch and Foote restructuring or dismissal. Kenyaron Fox is ready to back up Farrior or Timmons on the inside.

Need 3 Tickets to the SuperBowl
I've been a Steelers fan for 38 years and have raised my sons as Steelers fans. I promised them after SuperBowl 40 that I take them to the next SuperBowl that Pittsburgh played in.
As a result, any help on securing 3 tickets would be appreciated. I'm coming all the way from Calgary, AB - Canada for this one. Plane tickets, Lodging, and Transportation are in hand.
Thanks to anyone who can make this dream come true for me and my sons.
