Reports coming out of The Netherlands are that Greg Halman was stabbed and passed away in Rotterdam. Police are saying his brother is the suspect. This is very sad news. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. We're reminded that life is so precious, and it can be taken away at any moment.

Earl is headed to China. It's very important to note that it appears he won't be playing in the NBA this season even if the lockout is lifted. I actually think this is a good thing for the Magic, because he'll get some playing time and work on his skills, and the Magic should still have his rights if he wants to come back to the NBA the following year (like ATL had with Childress). By the time Earl is looking to come back, we'll have the Dwight situation resolved, making it a lot easier for management to decide whether to let Earl walk or to resign him.
