Redemption
Wow. It's been over 48 hours and I am just getting over the loss now. I know there was a recent fanpost suggesting the 48 hour rule, but as a fellow fan on this blog, I had to get my thoughts out before I move on. I wasn't able to read, watch, or hear anything related to college football till today. Finally getting caught up on everything. As many of you stated on here already, I forgot what it felt like to experience a bitter loss. Within the past couple years, the loss to Florida in the '08 SECCG was definitely the most heartbreaking. But the loss to Utah in the Sugar Bowl and to S. Carolina on Saturday are a close second. But at the least, I'm hoping for redemption against S. Carolina in the SECCG. That would be the ideal situation obviously. And not just redemption, but I would love to see the gamecocks get annihilated.
But it's definitely been a tough weekend. The shoulda, coulda, woulda's have been running through my mind. Not to mention, I was thoroughly frustrated with the play calling, McElroy refusing to throw the ball away instead of taking a 2 yard loss, poor tackling, losing the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball, the defense giving up 35 points and the offense not being able to punch it in after getting the INT down 21-28. Furthermore, it's Spurrier and South Carolina. We've all watched S. Carolina implode every year since Spurrier took over. It's always been "next year will be the year". But this year, they finally got over the hump of winning a big game and it had to be against Bama. And of course, that's compounded by the fact that Garcia had the game of his life. Oh, and Julio and Fluker sustained pretty serious injuries.
Not too long after the loss, I began thinking about BCS scenarios, as I'm sure many of you have as well. But I came to realize that it was pointless and a waste of time. There's too many undefeated BCS conference teams left, not to mention Boise State and TCU. I'm sure you guys have mentioned this already, but the only way I see Bama getting back to the title game is by running the table in convincing fashion, blasting S. Carolina in a rematch in the SECCG, AND for every other BCS conference team (except one) to have a loss. It's not likely that all those chips fall into place and I'm not going to be unrealistic. Like all of you, of course I would love another title. But seeing the team play hard and improve from here on out would be a treat as well. Anyways, thanks for reading. ROLL TIDE!

Starting Lineup
i'm not sure if this has been discussed on here already, but who goes to the bench when everyone (davis, randolph, camby, kaman) comes back? do we go with the bigger lineup of the big 3 up front with davis and thornton? or send Kaman to the bench and have a starting 5 of (going from 1-5) davis, gordon, thornton, randolph, and camby? i personally prefer the latter lineup since that's essentially the lineup we were winning with before Z-Bo went out.
