Well that does it ...everyone hates Portland. The whole Hedo thing proves it. We are a bunch of backwater hicks ...all married to our cousins. The weather is horrible..... It rains every day. We have no black people ...we have no brown people ...we have no gay people....it is white as far as the eye can see. I forgot...there are no asian people either. We are a long way from anything...just look at the map. In fact I am not sure why I live here ....I hear Toronto is nice. I guess we will never get a free agent to come here. Ok ....please fill up the comments with our most Hillbilly moments living here in Portland

Well it is Satuday at 6:30pm and there ain't no junk to had.....I am suprised and dismayed by the lack of a junk recepticle for today....where am I suppossed to put my super clever photos and such.

Anyway...time to have at it. Hit on the BEdge hotties.....put in borderline offensive material (chocolate penises are probably still off limits). Talk about movies....music....whatever. Ok well then

5-25 Memorial Junk Drawer

I was wondering what you are all doing in front of the computer on Memorial day. Why are you not driving back from camping like all the other Oregonians. I refuse to go camping on Holidays (like 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor day, MLK, Thanksgiving or Christmas). It is too, too crowded.

Also if, you were to picking a screen name right now ....would you pick the same one you have? Or something new? What would it be? I think I would pick OdenFanBoy...or someting like that ....and then patent it so no one else could use it.

Also ...I have heard that Tom is not allowed to create 2 consecutive Junk Drawers ....it is in the BEdge bylaws or something

Junk Drawer May 17th

It is a nice sunny Sunday morning, I was able to sleep in, I have a nice cup of coffee and some toast. It really couldn't be more pleasant of a morning. Naturally my mind turned to those special people in my life........ and how they drive me abolutely crazy. I have been married now for 13 years to my lovely wife and over that time she has demonstrated many moments of grace and love. She has also built a growing list of things she does that set my teeth on edge. For instance, when ever we go grocery shopping and then return home with a giant car load of goods (requiring multiple trips from the car to the house), she will grab a handful of stuff and take it into the house (as will I) and then start putting stuff away and leave me to walk back and forth to car 7 more times (usually in the rain). On weekends, she feels guilty if she doesn't work harder on house work than she does at her regular job and gets pissed if I don't feel the same way. When she pours herself a glass of milk, she always stops drinking it when there are 2 inches left in the glass.....regardless of how full the glass was to begin with. When she cooks in the kitchen (where else), she doesn't clean up as she goes and she puts all the dishes in the sink with the disposal along with the scrap food which requires me to move all the dishes to the other sink just so I can clean off the plates and run the disposal.

So the question to all of you with a significant other that you have been with for a long time.....it this normal (I suspect it is) and what kind of things do they do that bug you?

Junk 4/5 SitCom Edition

In the gameday thread for the OKC game Timmay and I got into a short conversation regarding Sitcoms. Reality TV and 17 incarnation of Law and Order plus the 9 CSI's have pushed Sitcoms off the network roster in a big way. Right now I watch My Name is Earl and a few others. What were your favorite Sitcoms of the old days?? What good ones have you seen that got dumped so you could watch more of the World's Fattest Super Model or Pimp My Tool Shed??

Junk 4/3 No Topic

The topic for today is...does the Junk Drawer need a topic??? The Junk Drawer was expressly created as an outlet for people to converse about off topic items of the day (basically a playpen for Tom and his flights of fancy). Sooo... that being said why is it that we usually have a topic (even if it is a off-topic topic). I find this strange. We even have had people create Blazer related topics ....that is just wrong. Sometimes I have needed the junk drawer but one isn't created but I didn't create one because I didn't really have a topic. Tom has a list of topics but has decided (quite rightly) on a self imposed moritorium of writing junk drawers. So I guess it boils down to this....was this topic better than me just pasting the word "filler" 75 times. Vote in the poll below.

This started out as a kinda crappy night as I am still sick at home. I went ahead and told the wife to take my daughter (avatar if you're are curious) even though it is a school night. But I have to say it turned around pretty quickly when the guys came out red hot!! Things started getting real good when Boozer got kicked to the curb (no one punks the Vanilla Gorilla, I mean no one!). When Sloan gets thrown it is just keeps getting better. Then a I get a call from my wife telling me that my little girl got on the big screen using her "Do It For Duck" sign (from the 300 level...keep bringin' those signs, folks!). Of course she was thrilled. Lastly I hear Mike Barrett refer to Batum as Boom-Boom.....baby that feels good since that is a 92wastheyear original. Someone is reading Blazers Edge folks...alway keep that in mind!!

I just got back from the game...whoooo...hoooo!!! Tom said I had to right this Junk Drawer (he has some schedule he came up with after eating an entire bucket of chicken and realized that bones spelled out the words American Idol) ....I don't have much time and I really don't have anything more than a title....but I really do like the title so I am going to use it. I am sooooo giddy about the game that I am about to break into song.........F-R-E-E that spells Free...Credit Report dot com baaaabyyyy.......I told Tom I was too busy write it but Mort called me a selfish Kobe lovin' nancy boy who isn't a team player...soo here ya go....fire away
