A little recognition
Power rankings that finally show some respect. NFP has us #9, but I think we're better than at least the Ravens, who aren't all that impressive so far.

Also got PFW giving us #9, but they have Ravens and 'Skins ahead of us.
Pryor coming to the Bay
I doubt this should come as much of a surprise, but Terrell Pryor is coming to the Bay. Thankfully, it is Oakland and not the Niners. The absolutely shocking thing is that they used a 3rd round pick for him??? There's good ol' Zombie Al for you.
Culliver to play safety???
It's only a rumor coming from PFW, but they say there's talk that the Niners might move Culliver to safety if Goldson can't be re-signed. Really, who cares, but I'm not sure how I feel about that one way or another.
P Willy finding off season work
I don't know if this is breaking site decorum, but it's certainly NSFW if you don't have headphones. P Willy shows up at around 4:00 mark.
Might be in good hands with Baalke
I know that we have plenty of threads to discuss the last two weeks of nightmares that are the Niners 2011 offseason thus far. The problem is, I didn't want this to be overlooked amongst all the mess that are our daily thousand comment threads filled with nothing but spam.
I know that there are some who don't particularly enjoy this hire, or promotion, but maybe we're getting ahead of our selves. Before I get into it, I want to direct you to the article below. It's written by a guy that probably catches quite a bit of flack, Michael Silver of Yahoo sports, because he can come off as cocky and arrogant and sometimes a prick. But keep in mind that this was a guy who was in love with the McCloughan promotion and talked him up quite a bit. I've also grown to respect his articles a bit more than when he first appeared over at that Yahoo place, and he gives a nice review of how hiring Baalke might not be as bad as we think it is. More after the jump....

2011 QB Depth: A look ahead
Considering our recent blowout win over the Seahawks, and the performance of Alex Smith in that game, it might be a little premature to begin discussing our outlook for next year at the QB position; however, just three days ago, some were not quite sold that we knew what the answer was going forward. In order to separate this from the new-found Alex Smith hype, I decided to separate it from our standard QB discussion thread.
Keep in mind that any scenario presented below is largely dependant on how we finish this season; including which QBs we could retain or if we'll retain any of the current coaching staff.

Yorks not the worst owners in the league
Though it's only one writers opinion, it seems there are plenty of owners in the league considered worse than the Yorks. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with the stadium deal and Jed taking the reigns, but it's good to know we have owners in the top half of the league. I'm sure part one will be out tomorrow to see exactly where they rank.
Potential NFC West shake-up
So today I was reading through ESPN and stumbled across John Clayton's mailbag. While I'm not the biggest fan of Clayton, and sometimes I think his scenarios and theories are a little ridiculous, he's generally got a solid opinion of what's transpiring throughout the league. In today's mailbag there was a brief spot in regards to the possibility of an LA team. Surprisingly, it wasn't the Niners, Rams or Raiders that was brought up as a possibility, but the Vikings of all teams.
We'll get into the details after the jump....
2010 Fantasy Player Rankings
It's still really early, but NFL.com has released a list of the projected top 200 fantasy players this year. Niners have a few on there including: #8 Gore, #46 Davis, #70 Crabtree, #125 Alex Smith (right above Sanchez and Stafford), #176 49ers Defense (8th overall defense), and #190 Morgan.
Not too bad for them.
Draft's biggest head-scratcher
This was certainly an interesting first round. There was a lot of moving and trading, some reaching and even some moves (or non moves) that left you completely speechless. So, to keep this short and sweet, what move did you find to be the most shocking of the draft?
