JLIII's contract is unguaranteed for next year, so we can cut him at any time without owing him another done (up thru Jan 2015 anyway)

Marv-V-P sat when the depth of the team was the shallowest and has mostly only played when rotations were at full strength and schedule was easiest...of course his +/- is the best.

McGrady, Melo, Bosh, Penny.....Millsap would be worth it if it didn't require us to give up the actual Millsap to be bad enough to try to replace him.

Brian Windhorst reported it and he is virtually an embedded reporter in the LBJ camp...It will be very difficult for them to find a trade that keeps Blake and nets LBJ

#UnpopularOpinionAlert - I'll be cheering for the Heat, mostly because I don't want LBJ to lose and decide to leave for the LAC as is rumored.

Loved Memo, but that team needed a Birdman Center off bench for 20-25 MPG.

how many of his kickouts are due to Favors getting the ball at the wrong time and in the wrong position?

Honestly, I trust Woj more on what Embiid is going to do. His record is spotless, while Embiid has reasons he would want to delay his announcment.

Thank you for proving my point that a "close touch" does not equal a big role in the offense.

Right, I agree there, though it does set a locker room precedent and may cause other guys to be more expensive.
Commented on The Downbeat #1311: D is for Development on Mar 27 2014, 2:23p
Is "close touches" defined as a touch that is meant to lead to a FGA? If not then my comments don't change whether the touch is 5 feet or 23 feet from the rim.

I personally think $5-10MM is a significant amount of money for anybody.

Hayward wasn't asking for $50MM, he was asking for $50MM+ which could be a big difference.

The SportsVu data is interesting but as Stan Van Gundy pointed out, of what value is knowing how many miles per game a player runs?

Exactly.

...and yet most of those guys on the list are getting off 14-18 shots a game compared to Derrick

There is value in tracking trends over short stints but the smaller the sample size the more likely you are looking at anomalies

2 - One VERY important distinction between sports franchise consumers and traditional consumers, is that sports franchises typically take huge taxpayer subsidies...I think that fact weighs largely to the fact that the citizenry is owed SOMETHING more.
