SOGARD GOES DEEP!!! FEAR THE GLASSES!!!
In honor of our former ace Gio, who will be greatly missed in Oakland when he moves on to cause bigger storms in bigger markets.
The A's should pick up Zito.
A's need a pitcher, Giants need a roster spot. This takes care of both.
MLB Trade Rumors: Oakland Appears To Be Out Of Beltre Bidding
First Dunn goes to the White Sox, then Berkman goes to the Cardinals...
...then we get some bad news about Iwakuma from Susan Slusser:
With under 24 hours left to come to an agreement with Iwakuma (he needs a physical before it's official) it's not looking good.
Now this from Buster Olney. Who are these "other players" the A's are looking at? And since we've got some money to spend, why not go for another big name? How 'bout Cliff Lee? How 'bout Carl Crawford? Manny? Thome?
Your thoughts.
The A's will leave no stone unturned in their search for a bat this Winter.
IT'S THE REMATCH WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!!
Dallas Braden vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Last time he faced the Rays, we all know what happened. He's been pitching well lately, so who knows, we might just see perfection again.
Thank you to those who purchased a "209 Special" Perfect Game t-shirt earlier this season. Hope to see you guys at the game today.
For those of you who want one as well... I'll be at the Coliseum early, in the main parking lot (Lot A), and I'll have plenty of Perfect Game T-Shirts for those of you who missed the first round...
I'll also be staying for the game (duh), wearing one of the PG shirts. Call me at 510-846-4525 if you want to get your own shirt (sizes: S, M, L, XL). They're $15 per shirt.
GET YOUR "209" PERFECT GAME T-SHIRTS NOW!
On May 9, 2010, Dallas Braden pitched the 19th perfect game in Major League Baseball history against the best team in the majors at the time.
He accomplished this task on Mother's Day, in the presence of his grandmother who raised him since the day his mother passed away when he was in his senior year of high school. Dallas grew up in Stockton, CA, in the "209" area code.
Dallas also threw his perfecto less than a month after having some words with Alex Rodriguez after A-Rod ran across the pitcher's mound while Braden was pitching against the Yankees on April 22nd. For the record, the A's won that game. Dallas' perfect game would clearly extend what A-Rod referred to as Dallas Braden's "15 minutes of fame."
Dallas Braden's game will not be forgotten, and he has brought much pride to the A's, to Oakland, and of course, to the 209.
HOW TO GET YOURS NOW:
You can share in this priceless memory with your own 209 Perfect Game t-shirt. They cost the PERFECT PRICE of $20.90 and it includes shipping & handling. Sizes include S, M, L, XL. They are Hanes tagless t-shirts.
Just email me at: carljmoren@gmail.com to order your shirt(s), and I'll reply with instructions to take care of payment and get your mailing address.
Go A's. Go Braden.

Ziggy's Stardust
A little dedication to the magic that comes from Ziggy...
Keep up the great work, buddy.
Tyson's Punch-Out
I am. Spartacust.
Why'd the A's bring back Gaudin? Cuz he's...
CHAD TO THE BONE
The Duke's back.
I AM SPARTACUST!!!
Is it possible, in the future, for the A's to boldly go where only a few A's teams have gone before?
Not without a captain it's not.
The Eagle Has Landon.
A tribute to our catcher, Landon Powell, and all of his moon shots.

Vindicate [vin-di-keyt]:
1. to assert, maintain, or defend against opposition.
2. to get revenge for; avenge.
He was sent from the future to save the City of Oakland from abandoning all hope in it's baseball team. With the help of his teammates, he will unload his full arsenal of pitches against anyone who crosses his path. He will prove, once and for all, that Oakland's rotation demands respect, and Oakland will once again become a force to be reckoned with. He is...
The VINdicator.
The Trevordacthill
You may have seen his warmup routine with the bat, stretching out his wingspan, preparing to devour his prey, one batter at a time... And when he takes the mound (otherwise known as the K-Hill), he becomes an entirely different creature... He becomes...
Trevordacthill.
He eats stolen bases for breakfast.
Rajai Davis has been en fuego since the departure of Matt Holliday. Scott Hairston moved to left field, opening the door for Rajai to come in and cook up some stolen bases, clutch hits, and amazing catches in the outfield. He is truly...
The Iron Chef.
*Note: If you don't understand the joke, see Superbad.
"Holy Tommy John, Outman!"
I miss this guy already. I hope he goes off in 2010.
Get well soon, Josh.
With his abilities and his potential, he could be The One.
Some call him Brett, I call him... Mr. Anderson.
I guess you could say this is the PREQUEL to PortlandPachyderm's "The Hand We've Been Dealt" FanShot about a month ago...

Portland, you said you wanted to do something like this when we had the original "Big Three" but didn't get around to it... Funny you should mention that. I was inspired by an article about Rich Harden, stating that his stuff was good enough to call the A's pitchers "The Four Aces."

It is funny, though, how history repeats itself. I can't wait to see what happens next year, if we're able to hang onto all four of our current "Four Aces."
...oh yeah, and Justin Duchscherer too.
Loyalty.
It's the stuff that makes us root for the Green and Gold, when times are rough and we're 12 games out of 1st. And if any poser A's fan questions your allegiance to your team, just ask 'em...
