BSU Basketball Men win 95-44

The mens basketball team won their opener Friday night 95-44. Yes it was against Colorado Christian or something like that but a win is a win. The opponent was not of the greatest caliber but...

Jake Maulhardt record night

5

This kid (who the Broncos have their eyes on) caught 28 balls for 347 yards. Crazy. Sounds like he needs an offer right away. There arent alot of 6'6 wide receivers out there.

Donna Larson Expansion to begin this month

2

This is some good news. Im excited to see some movement on the long awaited expansion plans.

Official Georgia Pro Combat Unis

Here the new Georgia Pro Combat Uniforms..there was a similar pic posted the other day not sure if these are the same or not. I like the white helmets

PreSeason AP Poll; Boise at #5 with 2 first place votes

34

I wonder who the two first place votes were?

SEC Expansion

3

A lot of rumors going around this week but it looks like its almost a done deal that A&M is headed to the SEC. Along with that Clemson, Missouri and FL State are rumored to be headed there as well. Well see with the latter three.

NFL Preseason Update

3

Winterswyk catches a few balls for the Falcons, it doesnt look like Titus played due to an injury. No line in the box score. The link provided is the 49ers box score. I know its his first NFL experience but Kapernizzle had a rough night which makes me smile. 9-19, 117 yds and 2 picks and two recovered fumbles. 27.6 QB rating, Alex Smith was just as terrible.

Potter in at #21 in Yahoo Top 100

2

Potter, Winn, Martin, and we know Moore will be there on the list. Not too shabby.

Good Publicity?

I have heard all the talk about the blue on blue dilemma and in my opinion, it doesn't really matter.  We will still curb stomp anyone that comes here despite the color of the unis. ex (Fresno). F...

Jeron Johnson on SI Watchlist

7

Listed at #3 on a Sports illustrated watchlist of undrafted free agents. Now that NFL is back in session hopefully he will get a call along with Swyk and Venable.

Brawl at TCU Practice

Just FYI.... Posted originally over at the MWC.com. Just passing along. I think this is pretty humorous.

USC and Pac 12 trying to pry Marcus Rios away

6

Apparently the Pac 12 is trying pretty hard to get Rios' attention. This kid is a great grab for us and must be pretty good if the likes of USC are now in the picture.

ESPN write up on new Texas cordinators

1

Texas had their spring scrimmage on Saturday and the offense looked pretty good, especially the quarterbacks. Good read about Harsin. He did alot for this program and looks like he is off to a good start at Texas. In my opinion if he is successful he could be the coach in waiting there, when Mack Brown is ready to call it a career.

Scout.com WR rankings for NFL Draft

Pettis comes in at 5 ahead of Titus at 8. Not bad for a couple of kids that werent hightly recruited.

Bronco basketball ends season with loss to Oregon in CBI semis

5

The Bronco comeback was not quite enough to overcome a 20-point deficit vs Oregon. Final 79-71. Reggie Arnold scores 24 in his final game as a Bronco and Tre Nichols adds 16. Its been a great year with a lot of goals met. I personally really enjoyed following this team watching all the seniors end their careers on a good note. Coach Rice is great for this program and he has this program headed in the right direction. Go Broncos!

Coach Pete donates $ 90,000 to MSTI

6

Fourth paragraph down. Petersen and wife donate 90 grand while Bobby Dodd Foundation throws in another 10 to Mountain States Tumor Institute. 90 grand is a huge amount of money. I am sure it is appreciated at MSTI. I like the commitment to this area and cause.

Broncos beat Evansville; Into semis of CBI

36

Boise puts the game away late to get past the Purple Aces 76-69 in the quarterfinal round of the CBI. Ryan Watkins sets a new career high with 18 points while Montreal contributes 14. Anderson hits 9/12 from the line and adds 11. 51% shooting 84% from the line and a +11 rebound margin are enough to overcome 16 turnovers. Next up I think is UCF. You know the team that kid with last name Jordan, the son of Michael Jordan...Marcus Jordan was 2-11 for the night with 4 points in a win against Rhode Island. Update: Due to reseeding, Broncos will play Oregon, in Oregon on Wed 6pm.

Broncos come back to beat Govenors

10

Broncos start out hot but gave up a 12 point lead in the 1st half but come back to win despite being out rebounded 42-20 but benefit from 19 Austin Peay turnovers. C brown and J Terry combine for 47 for Austin Peay. Round 2 = Evansville

Broncos run out of gas in Final. Aggies win 77-69

3

Broncos shoot 24% from 3-point line (Noonan 0-6) , an overall lack of inside game and turnovers doom the Broncos. Boise fought back from large deficits and were within two late in the game but could not stop the Aggies. Overall it has been a good year and a successful one as far as I am concerned. They should do well in whatever tournament they get into. Here is too a Vandals, Broncos champ game in collegeinsiders.com tourney!

Broncos cruise past NMSU to reach WAC Final

13

The Bronco men stayed hot to take out New Mexico State, 81-63, and will face Utah State Saturday night (8:00 MT) for a ticket to the Big Dance. La'Shard Anderson had 16 points and 9 assists and was creating all over the place tonight. Tight, aggressive D shut down Aggie star Troy Gillenwater, and Broncos Jeff Elorriaga and Ryan Watkins had big nights. Go Broncos!

Broncos beats SJSU, 66-51, in season finale

7

Boise State wins its seventh in a row and will see everyone in the conference semifinals on Friday.

Broncos blow out Roadrunners on senior night

2

Looks like everyone got some playing time tonight. Good for them. If Utah State wins and the Broncos win on Saturday, BSU is into the semis of the WAC tourney. Update: Utah State wins. The 2 seed is Boise State's with a win.

Cuban creates BCS busting Corporation

1

Comparison Time: BCS = Government leaders of Middle Eastern countries. Cuban's Corporation = Exiled leader coming out of exile to lead the protesters. Its titled "Radical Football". No that catchy, what do you think? I would have like "Death to the BCS LLC" better, but that is already taken.

Noonan! Bronco Men WIN against Fresno State

3

BSU shoots 47% from three, 47% from the field, and 90% from the line. Noonan scored 19 off the bench, and backups Bropleh, Moritz, and Elorriaga all got good minutes and added significant contribution. Overall the better shooting is what did it for the Broncos. Pressure D was used more tonight as well. They must have read Kevan's post today. Except they didn't stop shooting 3's they just started to make some of them.

Bronco men lose in OT at New Mexico State

5

Observations: Broncos shoot better from the field, but free throws, fouls and 3-pointers kill them again. Tre Nichols and La'Shard Anderson had a good night, Robert Arnold and Paul Noonan struggle again. NMSU's Gillenwater and Laroche combine for 58 points.
