This is definitely not what I envisioned, I normally have a pretty good gauge on my Chicago Bears but this year has gone completely the other way on me. Ive been beating down mentally and I have had some time to think to myself about exactly what went wrong with this team. What a disappointment for everyone players, coaches and fans alike, it seems like a century ago when we were 3-1 coming off a bye fighting for the division. And I have come to the conclusion that it is time for an overhaul of the entire coaching staff.

You just cannot put this on Angelo, he made the moves in the offseason necessary to give the Bears a fighting chance. Angelo goes out gets the franchise quarterback that this team has sorely needed for decades, he makes moves to add depth to the O Line and linebacking core and he also does a pretty good job in the draft even without having a pick in the first 2 rounds. No it was the coaching staff that has let this team go down in flames. Yes there has been a fair amount of injuries that has undoubtedly held this team back, but every team has those same problems and you have to be able to find a way to plug through them and it just hasn't happened.

When you look at the progression of this team over the season, they have gotten progressively worse, how does something like that happen. In my opinion its about the adjustments or lack there of that this coaching staff has refused to make. In every sport you have to be able to make adjustments on the fly and those adjustments are what separates the good teams from the bad. A perfect example of these poor adjustments is our defense on 3rd Down, this is something I have been screaming about for the last 2 years. I even felt soo strongly about it that I went to the Expo this year and voiced to Bob Babich and Lovie Smith that I felt that a change needed to be made, but what do I know. I mean seriously don't you just love it when its 3rd and 5 and our corners are not only are playing 10 yards off but are backpedaling as well after the snap, yea that makes a whole lot of sense. And this has been a continuing problem for over 30 games now.

Another problem this year has been the lack of adjustments with play calling on offense. Did I seriously hear Chris Collinsworth say that Turner and Lovie told him that they will run the ball even if its NOT successful. That kind of archaic and stubborn thinking is what is dooming this franchise. This is not 1965 anymore, you're not "thrilling the nation with your T formation" anymore more like Boring the nation. No, you call the plays according to the what the defense shows you on the field. There is absolutely no creativity whatsoever with these guys. Is it really that hard to maybe run a 4 man spread put Forte in the backfield do some no huddle and catch a team off guard. If you did do something like that maybe by forcing a team to go Nickel or Dime that might open up some things for Forte, at least try it. Why do they insist on doing the same plays that have been unsuccessful week in and week out for the last 10 weeks.

So this is my solution, goodbye Lovie, goodbye Turner. This is not the veteran team that needs coaches that are going to pat them on the back and make excuses for them. This is not a team that needs a coach that is going to give that stoic look on the sidelines after the 4th holding penalty in 5 minutes. This is a young team that needs a coach that is going to challenge them, show anger and ask for accountability when they don't make the plays expected of them, plain and simple.

As far as personnel on defense, the biggest need in my opinion has to be at Safety, the coaches really screwed this one up with this turnstile that they have created at this position from Graham, to Manning, to Payne, to Afalava, back to Manning, to Vasher, back to Afalava. There just has been absolutely no consistency and when you don't have that how do you expect to get results. So what you do is you MUST go out and get someone to fill one of those voids and let the others compete for the other position. With Urlacher coming back, hopefully healthy, there isn't much to be done with the Linebackers.

As far as how the D Line has fared, they have improved from last year but have been somewhat inconsistent. Ogunleye is probably out the door and I'm not really sure what their plan is for Anderson, I cant imagine him costing too much considering his decline since his rookie year but if they have to let him go so be it. And as much as Ive heard people complain about the Gaines Adams move I don't mind it, lets give Marinelli a chance in the offseason to get him right, hes still very young and has proven in the past that he can be a force. DT has got to be the biggest concern on the line and Angelo has gotta get tricky to improve this area. I'm not quite sure what to expect from Gilbert considering we havent seen him all season, maybe now is a good time to take a look at him. I know that management is high on Harrison but I think that if there was someone in FA that can make an impact that wasn't too costly that is the route I would take. I know you are going to cringe but I believe Tommie will be back next season. If anything they need to hire a personal motivator for this guy, cause in the past to weeks after getting kicked out of the game hes actually been playing like he has a pair.

Offensively my dream solution is going out and hiring Mike Holmgren or my second option Mike Shanahan (preferably Holmgren) followed shortly by signing the recently disgruntled Bronco Brandon Marshall once he takes off for the Free Agent market. I know I have been a big proponent of our current WRs and I still am but if we did indeed bring in Holmgren and his West Coast Offense that would mean more 4 WR sets and with Hester, Bennett and Knox that could make for one of the deadliest passing attacks in football. And its time we catch up to the 21st century and PASS to set up the RUN. Matt Forte is not Walter Payton hes not going to put this team on his back like Peterson did for the Vikings last year. And my O Line has Pace on the Bench and putting Williams at LT, where he belongs, and putting Omiyale at RT his natural position, I like what I have seen from Beekman his job better still be there for him next year.

Granted this is ALL hypothetical but lets think about it for a second. Just look at Brett Favres whole career. Look at the coaches they surrounded him with like Head Coach Mike Holmgren and assistants like Andy Reid, Steve Marriuci and Jon Gruden. The only way we are going to get the most out of the cornerstone of this franchise in Jay Cutler is if we surround him with the coaches that can do exactly that. This is not a polished QB that we have this is a QB that is still very raw and has all the tools to be great. But he needs coaches that are going to get on him, challenge him, and drill in his head the things that they have worked on with him all season long. No more back patting.

I can recall on NFL Network a sitdown they had with the Holmgren coaching tree and they would talk about how hard it was to coach Farve and reel him in from that gunslinger mentality, not completely eliminate but tone it down. They would talk about the frustration that Holmgren had at times with him but these were coaches that demanded accountability and were not afraid to show their displeasure when he wouldn't execute what they had practiced on with him. And in that sitdown they showed footage of Brett and his coaches on the sidelines doing exactly that, having arguments, disagreements, and working on correcting them and making in game ADJUSTMENTS. We have gotta find a way to corral this Wild Stallion and turn him into a Thoroughbred and all it takes is some good coaching and from what I have seen this year we are lacking in that area.

From what I understand the Bears have a lot of room under the cap, I don't know the exact numbers, but whoever is making the moves needs to finish the job that was started the day we traded for Cutler, this cant be a half ass job or we are just going to be the same 8-8 team or worse that we are this year. Go out get that Coach that will get the most out his players, get that Safety, get Brandon Marshall do what it takes to win a Championship. The Giants won the Super Bowl two years ago, last year they didn't and in the offseason I think they set a record in moves at least it seemed like it, so if they can attempt to get major improvement why not the Bears. I don't want to see us take another step back next year like we have every year since our Super Bowl appearance and to do that these things need to happen.

Morrissey Eats His Words!!!

I know that this is a Bears website but I also know some of you are not Chicago natives and some of you are specifically just Bears fans. But I felt that you guys should see this, Rick Morrissey can definitely rub people the wrong way, sometimes with his over the top columns especially about the Bears, but I have to say after witnessing this I have a new found respect for Rick Morrissey. Never have I seen someone actually stand by what they write quite like this before and it should be a lesson to all players and fans alike that sports shouldnt be taken soo seriously.

That being said if the Bears dont beat the 49ers tomorrow, I seriously might kill someone or jump off a rooftop somewhere. So what if Im a hypocrite, enjoy!!!

Morrissey Eats It!!!!

Since I feel like there should be SOME kind of Bears content on here, I will give my keys to the game.

LT Barry Sims vs. DE- Alex Brown or Gaines Adams With Joe Staley out this has to be a spot where the Bears dominate, Alex Smith may be improved but if the Bears get pressure they should be able to turn him into the Alex Smith of old.

TE Vernon Davis vs. Anyone with Self Respect After he said he could DESTROY the Bears, there had better be someone ready to take on this challenge. He may be having a good season but losing 4 games in a row and yet still saying that they will destroy anyone is crossing the line. This is not the The 49ers of the 80's. Vernon Davis meet Mr. Briggs : )

The Bears Defensive Swagger vs. The Bears Defensive Doubts With some of the interviews I have seen this week, I gotta say what really has rubbed me the wrong way was players saying that some had doubts going into the Cardinals games and they need to get their confidence back. After getting shalacked by Carson Palmer and the Bengals you would think that they would have gone out there with the mindset that they want to prove that they can stop a prolific offense instead of showing fear against the first prolific offense they go up against. So this week the Bears need to impose the FEAR into the 49ers and get back that Swagger that has been missing since the Steelers game, if there was a week to ever do it, this is the week. Their seasons on the line, their pride is on the line, and for some their jobs are on the line.

QB Jay Cutler vs 49ers DBs This is not the week to try to and force the run game, Im not saying completely abandon it, but I would like to see a little more 4 wide, heck maybe even a little 5 wide spread formation assuming Aromashadu will be active with Wolfe being out. And would it be out of the question to possibly see some no huddle. This week the Bears need to pass to set up the run. With the 49ers holding the 4th best rush defense in football they should have no problem stopping the Bears inept run game.

But on the flipside the 49ers are 24th in pass defense and also have to deal with the absence of DB Nate Clements who has been known to make a few plays. Jay Cutler is coming off a big day passing the football with 369 yards passing and 3 TDs albeit in a blowout loss. But regardless the Bears need to keep that mojo going, those are numbers that should be enough to get you Wins if the defense can hold up to their end of the bargain and thats a BIG if.

WR Devin Hester After another solid effort last week from our NUMBER ONE WR, I dont expect Cutler to stop throwing in his direction. He has made tremendous strides this year and is making all the catches, after watching Cutler and Hester connect on a deep ball with DRC draped all over him I would like to see them dial that play up a few more times this week. With DRC being one of the fastest corners in the NFL, Hester should have no problem burning any one of the 49ers DBs.

At the halfway point of the season Hester is on pace for over 80 catches and well over 1000 yards receiving, so stick that in your #1 Wide Reciever Pipe and smoke it. And as a little side note, Hester just gave birth to his first son Devin Hester Jr., so Im expecting a dedication game in honor of his newborn son, how bout a punt return to the house for Little Anytime!

Get Off The Bus PLAYING So many times I hear Lovie claim they "Get off the bus running", well this week I just want them to get off the bus playing and I dont care how they do it. Because not one week have I seen this team actually look prepared for a football game in the first half, we played with fire in the first 4 games and avoided disaster but in these last 4 our luck has run out. If the Bears have ANY playoff hopes for this season this problem has to be fixed.

Time For The Bears To Step Up And Bear Down (Poll)

If the Chicago Bears plan on going to the playoffs this year they had better plan on winning this Sunday or you can forget it. Coming up on the midway point fo the season the playoff picture is starting to take form and if you look at our schedule moving forward it is not going to get any easier than how it started. Granted we did have alot of road games to start the season, but a 4-4 record halfway through just wont cut it for a team with playoff aspirations. That Browns games to me was as irrelevant last Monday as it is this Monday. Time for everyone, players, coaches, management, and fans to move forward from this game.

The NFC North- With the Vikings crushing the hopes and dreams of Green Bay fans with their sweep of the helpless and OLineless Packers this last weekend, that leaves the Bears as the only team left to even compete for the division. And as much as I think that the Bears will never win the division this year, you just cant leave it out of the realm of possibility with 2 games still to play against each other and all the other variables that can go into the rest of the season, injuries etc. But the Packers still have an eye at the wild card, but we will touch on that later. Keeping up with Minnesota before we play them will not be an easy task after their bye week they play 3 straight home games against the worthless Detroit Lions and then against the underacheiving and injury plagued Seattle Seahawks before we come to town.

The Bears on the other hand have a season changing game on the horizon going up against the defending NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals at home, a team that just got whipped by the Carolina Panthers and will surely be coming in with a bad taste in their mouths and a mindset to get back to form. This will be a true test to see if the Coaches and Players learned anything from the dismantling defeat they took at the hands of Carson Palmer and the Bengals. Lets just hope for rain, snow, anything that can hinder their nasty recievers from having a huge game. Hopefully they arent prepared for our crappy playing surface much like the Saints of years past and fall coming out of their cuts. After watching the Panthers-Cardinals game this past weekend I will tell you that the key to keeping up with Arizonas potent offense, who will put points on the board, is to forcing them into mistakes with pressure on the QB. The Panthers forced 6 Turnovers including 5 interceptions, so Im thinking that Lovie needs to dial up some exotic blitz packages that we havent seen yet to keep Warner making bad decisions.

And on offense it is obvious what the Bears need to do to win this game and that is execute in the red zone. For some reason this has been a problem this year between the play calling and the run game. And no Im still not convinced we have gotten the run game going yet even after Fortes 2 TD performance. But a week ago I would have been spelling gloom and doom for the run game going up against Arizona who had the top run defense in football, but after giving up 270 yards rushing this past week, hopefully Carolina exposed them of some deficiancies in that area. But by in large the Bears offense, even with an inept running game, has had no problem moving down the field so regardless of how it happens they need to find ways of putting the ball in the end zone if they plan on winning and moving 2 games back of Minnesota at 5-3 with two to play against them still.

THE WILD CARD PICTURE: This is the more attainable goals for the Bears this year with the Vikings on pace to be at 9-1 before we play them on MY BIRTHDAY November 29th. The Good News: The nice thing about the rest of our schedule is that we control our own destiny on getting a wild card berth. We play the Cardinals, 49ers, Eagles (all consecutively I might add) and the Packers in December at our house, all teams that will be in the Wild Card hunt, we HAVE to get these wins to hold tiebreakers over them. The Bad News: We have already played 2 teams in the Wild Card Hunt and lost, the Atlanta Falcons and the Packers opening day. Those losses put us in a hole because now we HAVE to beat the Packers come December and we dont have another game against Atlanta who will almost certainly be running for a Wild Card spot with New Orleans seemingly unstoppable. Tonight will give a more clear picture of the South, my bet is the Saints win and Atlanta will be looking at the Wild Card.

The Packers are officially on Wild Card watch after being swept by the Vikings this year. The Giants arent helping their chances at wininng the Division after losing 3 straight games. And the Front runner of the East will be determined next week when the Cowboys and Eagles meet up on Sunday Night Football.

Right now the Division Leaders are the Vikings at 7-1 atop the North, The Saints at 6-0 controlling the South, The Cardinals lead by 1 game on the 49ers at 4-3 and the Cowboys and Eagles are tied at 5-2 so the wild card looks like this.

Cowboys/Eagles 5-2 (Play each other next week)

New York Giants 5-3 (Play San Diego next week)

Atlanta Falcons 4-2 (Play tonight against undefeated Saints)

G.B. Packers 4-3 (Play Tampa Bay next week)

Chicago Bears 4-3 (Play Arizona next week)

S.F. 49ers 3-4 (Play Tennessee next week)

Car. Panthers 3-4 (Play New Orleans next week)

So as you can see the East is going to give us the biggest problems on attaining a Wild Card spot, we need them to kick the crap out of each other for the rest of the year so one of those 3 teams fall off. Atlanta scares me cause we have already lost to them and they dont look like they are going to fall apart even if they lose to the Saints tonight. And Green Bay will be right there. The 49ers and Carolina have to win next week to prove they are serious contenders for a Wild Card spot.

Our Schedule: Just take a look at our remaining schedule. And you can break down what has to happen for the Bears to make the playoffs.

Wk 9- Cardinals

Wk 10- @49ers (Thursday Night Football)

Wk 11- Eagles (Sunday Night Football)

Wk 12- @Vikings

Wk 13- Rams

Wk 14- Packers

Wk15 - @Ravens

Wk16- Vikings (Monday Night Football)

Wk17- Lions

The Bears HAVE to win against the teams with losing records left on their schedule (49ers, Rams, Lions) and then with the rest of their schedule to make the playoffs we have to at least go 3-3 or 4-2 against the teams with winning records to make the playoffs. To me 9-7 will give us the same fate as last year, no playoff berth, so it is imperative to at least split against the better teams.

Pisa Tinoisamoa We hardly knew ye....

Just tweeted by Vaughn McClure, Pisa has opted to go for season ending knee surgery. A very big blow to an already depleted linebacking core. With all of the different players we have had rotating out of the LB position, I want to know what you think should be the solution.

With some of our inexperience exposed in the no huddle, expect teams to exploit that a little more, especially Cincy. Not to mention that this will inevitably effect our Special Teams as well, this is not a good situation we are in, obviously. The silver lining is that we have played without Pisa the entire year and guys have stepped up for the most part. So I want to hear your input regarding this. Or if you dont like the options given what FA would you like to see the Bears go after?? Brooks, Trotter, Napolean Harris, Dick Butkus etc....

What is with this sudden and overplayed outburst of the need for a WR?

Ive been seeing this weeks posts on the WCG about picking up a WR, from Braylon Edwards to Matt Jones (for the 193rd time), to Terrell Owens and Reggie Williams (you cant be serious), and it just makes me shake my head and laugh. Come on guys give it up, let it go, move on, END CREDITS.

Everytime I read one of these posts I wonder if any of them have actually been watching the Bears. Yes this was a hot topic over the summer and even through training camp, but not anymore. Guys are stepping up and making plays and all some of you want to do is knit pick and the problem is, youre knit picking the wrong unit. Talk about the Secondary (who has as many interceptions as Tommie Harris), talk about our injury weakened running attack, but leave this "we need a #1 WR crap" at the door, because its wearing thin. Maybe a RB might be somewhere that we need to look at the FA pool for some help, but not at WR.

I mean did I seriously just see over 500 posts on another freaking WR topic, really, come on everyone lets just start ignoring the next moron that comes along with the we need a WR speech. Guess what everyone, the season started, can we talk about the games now? I dont know if anyone noticed but we do play the team that stuck an ice pick in our collective hearts last year. This is likely a product of the long lasting bye week that we have to endure, which can drive a person crazy at times, but lets talk about something with some actual substance. Please I beg you.

Unless you havent seen, Cutler has already thrown 8 TD passes (On pace for 32) in only 4 games and the last three have been outstanding with QB ratings over 100 in each. HE doesnt seem to have a problem distributing the ball, why should YOU have a problem with who he is distributing it to? Bennett, Hester, and Knox have all been above expectations after all the grumblings we heard about this unit before the season started. Im just fine with the numbers they have, each of them are averaging over 13 yards per catch and they all have about 15 receptions. All 3 are on pace for over 60 catches this year (note: we didnt have ONE WR catch over 60 passes last season). Not to mention the fact that as the year progresses, the chemistry between the WRs and the QB are inevitably going to get better, so it wouldnt be far fetched to think the numbers will get better as well.

And we havent even seen what Devin Aromashadu can do on the big stage yet, trust me its coming too. Davis has not even been a blip on Cutlers radar and he also hasnt been too much of a difference maker on special teams either, which is why he got the roster spot over Rideau in the first place. Cutler and Aromashadu had a nice thing going in Camp and in the preseason, his opportunity will eventually come, and when you have a QB capable of making plays your wide receivers can start blossoming into productive players.

Look at the Saints, have they gone out and brought in a #1 to save their Quarterback from the terrors of a nobody wide receiving core over the last few years, NO, they develop and work on timing, route running, and chemistry. And all that got them has been one of the most prolific passing attacks in football. Or even our counterparts this week, the Atlanta Falcons, did they just throw in the towel when Roddy White and Michael Jenkins werent at the level they wanted them to be, NO AGAIN, and look how their patience paid off.

Some of you want instant gratification a little too much, you need to give these guys some time and let them prove themselves. They havent even had a full season together to do that. Why cant some of you just let our guys develop so we can have a cohesive unit when we make our push for the playoffs. As Robert Downey says in Tropic Thunder, Pump Your Brakes Kids. Wait for the offseason and if we arent talking about our Super Bowl Championship season we just had, maybe then and only then, should we open back up the discussion for free agent WRs. When guys like Brandon Marshall and Anquan Boldin will be available to pick up with our large amount of cap space that we should have after the seasons up. Until then, screw the Dirty Bird, bring on the Falcons and most importantly..........................

I will be going with a bunch of friends and we will be in the south lot tailgating real real early, and anyone going is more then welcome to come on by and play me and PolishSausageDitkaBears in bags. But just get ready to get worked, NO ONE WILL BEAT US! But I encourage you to come by, we will be strapped with 500 jello shots and we wont be able to put all of them down ourselves, so we need your help! Plus I want to meet some of these guys Im always seein on this cite. Soo dont be a stranger look out for us. Youll know us by the bags we are playing on if you happen to walk by us, we have red and blue Cubbie bags sets (sorry Sox fans), I will be wearin my Cutler White jersey and I will be then one settin off the intensity in that lot.

And if anyone is interested, I have a DVD for sale, it is called the HESTER CHRONICLES, and it is bad ass! Its 53 minutes of ALL the footage I have ascertained over the last 3 or 4 years, I put music to it and a lot of other tight stuff like commercials and and sideline footage. It goes from High School to College to All of his returns and a couple of catches in his first two years in the pros including pro bowls, plus a couple of interviews and other things, soo come on by have a jello shot, shoot have ten shots, and check it out and see if you like it. ITS A MUST BUY!! Hope to see you there Bears Fans!!!

The Wait Is Over My Friends.................

As Tom Petty puts it "The Wait Is The Hardest Part", and those words couldn't have held any more true than they have this year. From the day the NFL announced that the Bears and Packers would be playing each other on Sunday Night to open the season to that glorious afternoon on April the 2nd when the Bears shocked us all and made the move we have all been waiting for, for many of decades, to be perfectly honest. The word wait truly is the word of day. Well today my friends the wait is finally over.

But the weight of this game is truly overwhelming. This rematch of the oldest rivaly in football today really has to be one of most anticipated Bears Packers matchups of all time. And to think it was only 8 1/2 months ago when the Bears and Packers met up on Monday Night Football with our season on the line and our team on the ropes. I for one will never forget that game, my girlfriend surprised me with 2 tickets to that game for my 23rd birthday and we still have the frostbite to prove it. I remember the Packers really making life hard on me that 1st half, knowing we had to win the rest of our games for the season to make the playoffs, they really werent cooperating with us like I wanted them to. But something changed as the second half was under way. Low and behold Rashied Davis, a popular player around these parts, just happened to be at the right place at the right time forcing a muffed punt by taking his blocker and pushing him right into the ball. And in a matter seconds the momentum shifted right back our way, eventually leading to a blocked field goal by Alex Brown to save our season. It was by far the greatest game I have ever witnessed.

And now here we are, talk about coming full circle, the Bears brought in their franchise quarterback and retooled some other impact positions, the 6-10 Packers of last year brought in defensive coordinator Dom Capers and switched to the ever popular 3-4 defense and also had a draft that you know they feel good about, not to mention the pundits have crowned them the preseason champs (but as Dennis Green would say "Go ahead and crown their ass"), and thats not even to mention that the hated Brett Favre has returned to the NFC North and is in purple of all things! When I say this season is one we will never forget, it truly has some validity.

So I want to wish everyone a happy opening season Sunday, I know all of you are as jacked up as I am to get this game and this season underway. But take a step back and remember why sports are soo great too today. We are having a huge cookout at my house and I expect to see a mob of people showing up. We got this huge projector that we are putting in the backyard, a drive in movie theater of sorts, and Im setting up the bonfire and the tiki torches and the bags as soon as soon as the sun rises. I hope to put all the pictures and maybe a video or two of the riot scene on the website tomorrow to share with all of you. So like I said have a great Opening Season Sunday, the day is finally here. The wait is FINALLY over.

Prediction- Bears 34 - Packers 26

In a high scoring affair, the one thing in my mind that will put us over the top is our special teams, somehow someway this unit will find a way to make their presence known today. Whether it be a blocked punt/ field goal, a forced fumble on a Packers return, or of course the return of the greatest return man to ever play the game taking one back to the house and sticking a knife in the hearts of the cheeseheads. Thats how this game is decided. BOOK IT!

I would love to know what everyone else has planned for this spectacular day as well.

Schefter Reporting On Twitter-Bears Express interest in Matt Jones

I just got a tweet from Adam Schefter of ESPN, and he claims the Titans have set up a meet and greet with Matt Jones. And in addition the Cowboys and Bears have expressed interest.

Now I know this topic has been talked about at nauseum, but I felt this was post-worthy, with some actual substance to all of the speculation. I thought some of Cutlers comments during the in-game interview and the press conference yesterday were telling of managments thought process with our current group of wide recievers. If there was no interest, Cutler would have came out and said that they were fine with what they had. But yesterday he said that if they did bring in somebody it would be a veteran of sorts that could mesh easily with the team. Not exactly knocking down the rumor mill.

In light of a recent post from my buddy Hovanec, I thought I would counteract his negative post with a much more positive one for everyone.

With all thats transpired this offseason its easy to get caught up in the hype and thats exactly what Im doing!!!

Positive Thought #1- Jay Cutler is our Quarterback!

Positive Thought #2- Matt Forte should have an even BIGGER year (even with less carries) without those 8 and 9 man fronts that he had to put up with last year. Watch his yards per carry go up big time.

Positive Thought #3- Bob Babich is no longer our Defensive Coordinator. Nuff Said.

Positive Thought#4- Al Afalava is starting to look more and more like Chris Harris (who I was a big fan of) everyday.

Positive Thought#5- What a great play by Payne when he broke up that pass by Eli last week. That kind of effort is what we will need from him if he is going to be our new Free Safety.

Positive Thought#6- With the notion that Payne and Afalava will be our starting safeties, that will thrust Daniel Manning back to the Nickel where I feel he is much better suited.

Positive Thought#7- With the addition to Tinoisomoa to our linebacking core we should be have one of the best in the NFC if not the league.

Positive Thought#8- Earl Bennett did show me he is a capable #2 throughout Training Camp and last week against the Giants.

Positive Thought#9- The retooled offensive line looks like it could be better than last year (Did anyone even hear Osi Uminyouras name called last week). Gotta love the depth and competition that our O Line brings.

Positive Thought#10- One or the other between DA and Brandon Rideau WILL have a breakout year this year. I saw too much from both of them during camp to think otherwise.

Positive Thought#11- Speaking of breakout years, Greg Olsen is primed to have one of those this year and possibly be a Pro Bowl candidate.

Positive Thought#12- With all the depth on this roster, our Special Teams should be a force to be reckon with and should be able to get my boy Hester back in the end zone.

Positive Thought#13- Jay Cutler running for 10 yards last week is a dynamic we are not used to and I for one am looking forward to seeing a truly mobile QB for once. Love those bootlegs too.

Positive Thought#14- With Brett Favre returning to play for the Viqueens the spotlight has been removed from Cutler and the Bears. Which should bode well for us, I don't think I could take anymore meaningless, Cutler said this-Cutler did that stories. I like flying under the radar. Since hes been back they have been the Lead In on every media outlet. And that is fine by me.

Positive Thought#15- In honor of my 15th positive thought, there are only 15 days until the regular season!!! Bring on the Pack, cause the last time we played them week one, we shut their asses out and went on to the Super Bowl (which is in Miami, just like then). Hopefully if we do make the trip back to Miami and the end result is a little different. Who wouldn't like to see the Colts there if we do indeed make it back, so we can stick it to them as well.

Bobby Wade "Claims" Urlacher speaks negatively of Cutler

Not that every single other pessimist isnt trying to find an angle on Cutler. But heres another one for you. I was just listening to AM1000 with Waddle and Silvy. And apparently a local Minnesota radio station K FAN did an interview with Bobby Wade over the Brett Favre annoucment. And at some point during the interview Jay Cutlers name got brought up. And Bobby Wade "Claims" that Brian Urlacher used a "specific" word when referring to Jay Cutler to him during a trip to Vegas that they went together. Apparently Brian Urlacher said Jay Cutler is a bitch.

This will sure to be the leading story going into Training Camp. I for one hate Bobby Wade. And now the hate has reached an all time level. Even if Urlacher did say that to him, I assume he said it to him to be kept between the two of them, especially not smeared on the radio 2 days before camp. If Wade and Urlacher are friends, rhey arent anymore. I promise you that, Urlacher hates media attention. Hey a day after Favre pulled the rug out from under the Vikings, the Vikings are already trying to stir the pot and just piss the Bears off, fans and players alike.

This will have no bearing on how Jay Cutler plays with the Bears. Unless Urlacher is our #1 wide reciever then this will not mess up the chemistry of this team. It would be different if Greg Olsen was saying this. This issue should get squared away this weekend. And when the season comes around the Bears will not forget what Bobby Wade tried to create in the offseason. And then he will have to answer to Mr Urlacher.

Have fun with Vage Rosenfels, Bobby. And youre the bitch by the way.
