2012 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament: How many will turn out to Foxborough?
The table is set, and Duke, Maryland, Notre Dame, & Loyola (MD) will be all present at Foxborough for the National Championship. CollegeCrosse.com puts has written a piece on fan turn out for this game, and since none of the traditional powers are there this could be sparsely attended.
And whom might you ask be the university host? Not Boston College of course, but rather Providence....
ESPN: College TV Rights Deals Undergo Changes
Here is ESPN's breakdown of each conferences television contract and how they breakout the 1st, 2nd & 3rd tier rights profits for the big 5 (Big East is not included, statement within).
Again they do not tell you what each conference makes per year with escalating money, but it would be safe to assume that since the ACC has no other partner or its own network that it makes the lowest per year.

Clemson at Wake Forest on ACCDN Now
The ACC Digital Network has picked up the Clemson at Wake Forest Thursday night game. It is currently online and going, with Mike Hogewood as calling the game. Check in and cheer on your Tigers!
EDIT: It appears the whole weekend series has been picked up. This is an awesome day and age for those of us who don't get to enjoy Clemson baseball that often that you can see it online.
Explanation of ESPN's ACC TV Contract
Important to point out that ESPN comes out and says that backloading contracts is a common industry practice. This makes me wonder then exactly how much the other conferences really do currently make a year.
BCI: The NCAA Lacrosse Bracket has me crying
A good expose by the guys at BCI on why it doesn't make any sense that they Boston College is no longer competing in the D1 lacrosse. Boston College Lacrosse hopefully will be coming to an ACC home near you...
The University of South Carolina spent $535,000 in NCAA case
To prevent being listed as a NCAA Repeat Offender, the University of South Carolina spent a half million dollars to defend players who took roughly $59,000 in benefits from boosters and the Whitney hotel. What this amounts to is ridiculous.
CUSA reloading with 6 new schools
Per CBS Sports, CUSA is going to 14. A few programs I didn't expect. With them going to such a large number I think I'll side with Brian now not to expect a CUSA-MWC meger.
Brian Dawkins Retiring After 16 Seasons in the NFL
Per @CU_Athletics, Brian Dawkins will retire after 16 seasons in the NFL. I remember him most as being the BA Safety from the Eagles whom I never wanted the Panthers to come against. Congratulations to him, and here's hoping he can coach and could be coming back to Tigertown to teach our boys how to lay hits.
Mike Bellamy's Two Sides Reveal Massive Potential & Frustration
From Greg Wallace of OrangeandWhite.com. Good piece on Mike Bellamy's back story and what all he has gone through as youth. Though it seems as further proof that he needs more discipline before he'll ever completely dominate the field.
Clemson vs UGA series might be saved
Per the Post Courier, Terry Don Phillips as said that the Clemson vs UGA series will still be played, and that we should expect to have 7 home games even with the new 9 game conference schedule.

SBNation & Dawgsports Video: Georgia vs Clemson Football
An emotional and sensible reason for why Clemson & Georgia should play out the series in the upcoming 2013 & 2014 season.
I agree totally with what T Kyle King has to say, and want to say that this series is one of the most important ones in Clemson football and should occur more than just twice every decade or so. Thanks to DrB for posting it to Twitter.
Michigan gets first lacrosse win
Michigan upsets 2nd year Mercer 14-4 in Jacksonville yesterday. Further proof that a first year program can win, and possibly win big. Hopefully no varsity ACC programs are keeping tabs on Michigan the next few years, in hopes that we'll get some more teams to add on the sport.
ACC Digital Network - Clemson vs NCSU Basketball Highlights (2/25/12)
Georgia Tech, FSU, and Clemson and ACC Scheduling Dependency
Bud Elliot of Tomahawk Nation:
In order to preserve seven home games, FSU and Clemson, both in the Atlantic Division, and both with road games in odd years at UF and South Carolina, respectively, need the Atlantic division to play its five home games in odd numbered years. Georgia Tech has the same need in the Coastal, only reversed, as they play at Georgia in even years. The solution is obvious and I have a lot of faith that the ACC will get this right.

Temple In Talks to Join Big East in 2012?
NY Times reporting that the Big East and the new Conference USA/MWC conferences have both invited Temple into their leagues. Will they jump?
Boston University goes D1...What About BC?
The guys over at BCInterruption are testing fan support for resurrecting their old team now that city rival Boston University has decided to elevate its program to Division 1. Could the ACC possibly be looking North for 6th program once Syracuse joins?
Live Stream: Tennessee @ Georgia Tech Lacrosse, Tonight @ 8:30pm
GT Lacorsse has set up a livestream event today for the Clemson vs Texas A&M (6pm) game and the Vol's vs Yellow Jackets (8:30pm) game. If you can make it, go on out to the field, but if you are unable to, watch the top programs spar against each other! Enjoy the games!
LiveStream Event: Clemson vs Texas A&M & Tennessee vs Georgia Tech
The Georgia Tech Lacrosse team is putting a live stream event of tonight's match ups between the Clemson Tigers vs Texas A&M (@6pm) and Tennessee vs GT (@8:30pm) club lacrosse programs! This is a huge event for all teams, as the GT/Tenn game is a needed conference win, and this will be the first meeting between Clemson and A&M.
All four programs are top MCLA teams, and should be fun to watch. Thanks to the GT lax program for making this available.
Here are the schedules for each program:
Clemson Tigers
Texas A&M
University Tennessee
Georgia Tech

Panther Fan Finds Super Bowl Playbook
A Panther fan found the playbook from Super Bowl XXXVIII, and after holding it for a week, returned it to the team.
The real question is, how many of you would actually do the same?
UCONN to Impose Own Penalties
So about that UCONN as possible expansion target in the next few years...Yeah I think we are going to need to hold off on that until you figure out how to graduate your kids...
The number one topic facing Pitt athletics right now is this - when do the Panthers get to begin competing in the ACC? I am now becoming more and more convinced in the conversations I've had in the past two days that Pitt will be in the ACC in 2012 and here is why - the school has had enough with the way the Big East has mangled this all and frankly is waiting on West Virginia.
If - or more accurately - when, West Virginia finally declares they are leaving for the 2012 season officially and the Big 12 schedule is announced with WVU on it, Pitt is going to follow them out the door and dare the Big East to stop them.
Will Pittsburgh be following West Virginia out the door? (Pitt Redshirt Diaries)
Danny Ford is God
Part 1 of TigerIllustrated.com's upcoming coverage of Coach Danny Ford, from his nuisance's, his abrasiveness with the NCAA & ACC, and to his folksy charm that still holds fans from Clemson University to this day.
Venables to lead Clemsons Defense
Per: PETE IACOBELLI, Clemson has secured the former OU DC Brent Veneables for the same position. Dabo confirmed it to Travis Sawchik through a text last night.
Big news for Clemson, lets hope that they can build upon this.
SOPA, Koala's, Goats, Oprah Riding a Jet Ski with Jesus in outer space, BBQ Kittens? The Oatmeal is attempting to teach you about SOPA & PIPA and what could happen if these get passed through congress.
