Can the addition of Iggy bring Carmelo to the Warriors ? (Update at the bottom)
First of all, I just want to make it clear that I'm not a Monta hater. I am not in favor of trading Monta unless getting a better player in return...
So I think we all agree that Iguoadala is one of the players that are better than Monta and would make sense to go after at Monta's expense. So if the Warriors were lucky enough to convince the sixers in a trade of Monta + pick for Iggy, that will result in a lineup of Curry/Iggy/Wright/Lee/Biedrins, pretty darn good already and most likely a playoff team I would say.
If the chemistry develops and the Warriors somehow get deep in the playoffs, would the bay area look as a desirable place for Carmelo to join ? I personally think Carmelo will not go to the Knicks if he wants to win a championship, CP3 is under contract and will not be traded so Tony Parker is the only player available for them. A big 3 of Parker, Melo and Amare is far from getting it done. The only team that would present an issue is Denver, if Carmelo were to choose between Denver and GS, what would he choose ? going back to join billups/k mart/Nene who are solid but hasn't worked in the past OR get a fresh new start and join Curry/Iggy/Lee for a shot at the ring ?
Can you imagine of a lineup like:
PG: Curry
SG: Iguodala
SF: Anthony
PF: Lee
C: Biedrins
Can the new owners make this happen?......
UPDATE !!!!
ESPN: Anthony, Nuggets are likely to part
This article just came in on ESPN and mentions that all the signals from Anthony are that he would like to be in a different uniform this season.
I know it is close to impossible of this 3 way trade happening but what would you guys think about this:
Philly gets:
Vlad Radmanovic
Kenyon Martin
Charlie Bell
Denver gets:
Elton Brand
Monta Ellis
Dan Gadzuric
GS gets:
Andre Iguodala
Carmelo Anthony
Philly get a good player in Kenyon Martin AND get rid of Elton Brand's contract
Denver get some value for Carmelo before he departs himself leaving them with nothing. Monta would provide them the scoring and Brand the lost post threat
GS competes for the championship !!
Warriors, Wright agree on a three-year contract
Wright's deal to near $10M. Now that really give us the room to sign Morrow as well. Dorell Wright is a really good pickup but we really need the deadly 3 pt shooting of Morrow.

Warriors waive Mikki Moore to keep Hunter
The Golden State Warriors on Monday waived veteran center Mikki Moore, which creates the roster room to keep rookie big man Chris Hunter.
The Warriors, granted a special exemption by the league to sign an extra player in November because of a spate of injuries that wiped out nearly half of their 15-man roster, chose Hunter out of the D-League.
But players who fill a temporary 16th roster spot cannot be playing on a guaranteed contract, and Hunter's rookie-minimum deal will be guaranteed for the rest of the season if he's still with the Warriors through Wednesday.
Golden State's options were thus waiving Moore to keep Hunter as its 15th man or waiving Hunter and trying to re-sign the young big man to a 10-day contract after he clears waivers. The risk there, though, is that Hunter might have been claimed by another team before the Warriors could re-sign him.
Moore's $825,497 salary for the season was fully guaranteed, but an Achilles injury is expected to sideline the 34-year-old into March or April.

What Bosh could open up for the Warriors
Hey fellow GSOMer's,
I have been thinking and chewing about this for a while, it may sound absurd at first but try to stay open minded as you read on...
Between Amare and Bosh who could be FA's at season end, Bosh in my opinion is the one who would most likely leave his current team which would make the Raptors more motivated to trade him now and get something in return rather than just losing him. Now, IF we were able to negotiate a package of Biedrins/Buike/Claxton for Bosh, of course with Bosh's consent that he would resign with the Warriors.
Would the Warriors actually have a good chance at getting LeBron when he opts out of his contract at season end?
Before you start laughing, think about this. The Warriors would have everything that the Knicks were trying to build in order to get LeBron.... Getting Bosh was the biggest asset to sign LeBron, we would have that. LeBron likes Steph Curry and sees the potential in him, we would have that. A big market with lots of fans and $$ to make for the NBA, we would definitely have that. A shot at the title, I would say with LeBron, Bosh, Monta and Curry. We turn instantly to a championship contender.
I understand management and Nellie is an issue and is not something that LeBron would really want to come to but this might be bigger than that, it would be about a group of talented players contending for a championship. Imagine a team of Steph, Monta, LeBron, AR, Bosh..... that puts us right up there with the lakers and celtics. I would even go as far as saying it might be LeBron's BEST chance at getting a title unless he joins the lakers or celtics which will be almost impossible.
What do you guys think....please elaborate your answer to more than just "LeBron aint coming here"
