What's up WCG? I got this idea from SBN's U of A site, Roll 'Bama Roll

with this post and thought it would be a fun idea to do on a Friday.

What's up WCG? I got this idea from SBN's U of A site, Roll 'Bama Roll

with this post and thought it would be a fun idea to do on a Friday.

Now, I realize this has absolutely nothing at all do with Da Bears, football or sports in general, but it's Friday and I think it'd be cool to see where everybody's taste in movies lies. So with that being said let's do it!

As hard as it is no name my top favorites it's pretty fun. I based these on two factors: 1) Obviously how good I thought the movie was and how much I enjoyed it and 2) Replayability. A movie that never gets old, I could watch an infinite amount of times and one that I would have no problem watching the watered-down version of on T.V. In no particular order:

Braveheart- As crazy as Gibson is he directed and acted his ass off in this one. The best movie I'ver ever watched IMO.

Saving Private Ryan- One of the few times I ever saw my hard ass, Drill Sergeant dad cry.

Grandma's Boy- Happy Madison Productions + a bunch of reefer smoking= Winning!

Pineapple Express- Rogen, Franco, McBride, Craig Robinson, and Gary Cole + a bunch of reefer smoking= More Winning!! Really looking forward to "Your Highness".

Reign Over Me- Great story and one of my favorite characters Sandler's ever played.

The Hangover- Enough said.

Old School- "I think I see Blue, he looks glorious."

Dumb and Dumber- "You little pumpkin pie haircutted freak!"Favorite comedy ever!

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi- Thought it would be cheesy to include the whole trilogy as one so I picked my favorite. I couldn't get enough of the speeder bike chase as a kid.

LOTR: The Two Towers- Same as Star Wars. The Battle of Helmsdeep is by far one of my favorite scenes in any movie.

Notable mentions: 127 Hours, Anchorman, Armageddon, Blow, The Dark Knight, The Departed, Gladiator, Goodfellas, Inception, Scarface, Titanic, Tombstone, Up, Wedding Crashers.

Well WCG there it is. Those are my personal favorites, what are yours?

From Larry Mayer: "Johnson was selected by the Cardinals in the fifth round of last year’s draft out of LSU. He spent the entire season on Arizona’s 53-man roster, but was inactive for all 16 games. The 6-7, 360-pounder was on the Cardinals’ practice squad for the first 13 weeks this season.

Nicknamed "The House," Johnson weighed 15 pounds and 14 ounces at birth, making him the largest baby ever born in the state of Louisiana."

Barry Turner was relased to make room for this move.

With training camp a little over a week away it’s starting to sink in that football season is almost here. Personally I consider the pre-season the start of the NFL season, football is football in my opinion. Even though the games do not technically count I get just about as pumped up for a pre-season game as I do for a regular season game. I think this is due to the fact that I’m so tired of watching the previous year’s high/lowlights(though I doubt I’ll ever get tired of watching this beauty). With the entrenched starters playing time being fairly minimal during these exhibition games, I think the beauty of the NFL, and sports in general, is watching young players who have yet to make a name for themselves battle it out and try to earn a roster spot and additional playing time.

With the off-season usually comes new players(Peppers, Taylor, Wright, etc.), new coaches(Martz, Tice, Marinelli as DC, etc.), and new schemes(the Martzfense) as well as very high hopes and expectations. While players and coaches become familiar with one another and any new schemes being implemented during voluntary workouts and OTA’s, fans don’t get an opportunity to the see the progress the team has claimed to be making all off-season until training camp, for some, and the pre-season. With so many new faces on the team now expectations are sky high and fans around the globe cannot wait for the 2010 season to get under way.

So my question to WCG is this: what are you most excited about/ looking forward to the most regarding this year’s training camp and pre-season?

I’m eager to see what Major Wright is made of, and if he can be the answer at FS. We have been craving a playmaker there since Mike Brown’s early days and I’m looking forward to seeing if Wright can be that guy. Also, the battle for SLB between Roach and P.T. should be very interesting. I'm predicting Roach to win.

Just saw on ESPN that the Rams have officially released Torry Holt. As much as I would like JA to make a move and bring Mr. Boldin in, I think getting Holt could be just as beneficial to the team. He's only 31, I think, and could be the possession receiver we NEED and a mentor to Hester, Bennett, and whoever we draft. Go for gold!!!
