Music City Miracles Interviews WR Kendall Wright
As Jimmy told us a few days ago, SB Nation is a sponsor of the NFLPA's Rookie Premiere. The NFLPA Rookie Premiere is where 35 of the top 2012 NFL Draft picks will make their official professional debut. In addition to being the first rookie class to wear the new Nike jerseys, the players participated in events around L.A. in the lead up to their official coming out party.
We at Music City Miracles are already reaping the benefits of this partnership. I got the chance to interview first round pick Kendall Wright yesterday. SBNation's YouTube channel will have the video uploaded in a few days, but for now, here is the transcript of our chat.

Racism? Homophobia?
No. It’s simply what happens the first time a white guy and a black guy try to shake hands, high five, or fist bump.
FYI: This photo was taken during pregame introductions.
Congrats to commenter, and former Titan Jason Jones, who won this week with 5 recs. Stay tuned for next week's edition of Create a Caption.

Report: Cortland Finnegan Will Join the St. Louis Rams
According to Adam Schefter, Cortland Finnegan has agreed to a deal with the St. Louis Rams. The deal is reported as five years and $50 million...exactly the $10 million per year he wanted. This makes him one of the highest paid cornerbacks in the league. No way in hell he was coming back to the Titans with that kind of money. I believe that the Rams overpaid quite a bit for a good, but not great player.
Obviously, this also means that Cortland Finnegan will be reunited with former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher in St. Louis. It will be interesting to see how that works out, in addition to Chuck Cecil being his secondary coach. It became very clear earlier in the offseason that Finnegan wasn't going to come back to Tennessee. As a fan favorite, he has given Titans fans some great memories over the years, but it appears it was just time for him to go. Seeing Finny on the field in different colors sure will be strange.
The Titans are left with Jason McCourty ad Alterraun Verner as their starting cornerbacks. With Tommie Campbell and Chris Hawkins as the only other corners on the roster, I would expect they add a veteran through free agency.
New York Giants @ Green Bay Packers Open Game Thread
The Giants almost pulled off the upset a few weeks ago at the Meadowlands. Can they do it successfully in their second try? These are two teams that went into the playoffs playing really, really well, and they have two of the hottest quarterbacks in the league.. I say Giants win in a close one.
Discuss the game below.
NFL Playoffs : Bengals vs. Texans Game Thread
This could have been our game.
The only thing that would make the Texans making the playoffs alright is them losing in the first round. In all seriousness, this should be a good game, with two of the best defenses in the league squaring off. The Bengals will try to avenge their one point loss to the Texans in the regular season.
Tennessee Titans 2012 Opponents
It's never too early to look ahead. I'm not sure how much harder an NFL schedule can get than next year's Titans schedule. Here are the teams the Titans will be playing next year. In addition to the division opponents, they will be playing the AFC East, the NFC North, and the second place finisher in the AFC North and West.

Report: Mike Munchak Favorite For Penn State Opening
Well, the Titans may just have another very interesting offseason coming up. According to sources via The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak has been selected as the top pick for the Penn State head coach opening. Per Jim Wyatt, Munchak's response Monday night was exactly as you would expect, "Nothing is going on-people like to speculate."
Having to find a new head coach in two straight years would be quite a change for the Titans front office, who didn't make a change for seventeen years prior to this season. Munchak has exceeded expectations this year, with the Titans having real playoff possibilities heading into the final week of the season. In a season with a shortened offseason, a new quarterback, a completely new coaching staff from top to bottom, and arguably the team's two best players, Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt not performing, that is quite impressive.
Mike Munchak was with the Nittany Lions for three years. He has been with the Titans organization for 29 years. I have no doubt he loves his alma mater, but it's hard to think his heart is anywhere except in Tennessee. It's been reported that other teams approached him while he was offensive line coach, but not once did he even interview for another team's opening. From Munchak's own mouth in his introductory conference, "I feel like I hit the jackpot here standing here as the next head coach of the Tennessee Titans."
Penn State is obviously not the ideal place for a coach to go right now, amidst the Sandusky scandal. It seems Munchak already has his dream job, coaching the only professional team he has ever known. There is obviously a whole financial side to these negotiations, but it makes no sense to me why Munch would leave the Titans for Penn State.
No Tennessee Titans Chosen for 2011 NFL Pro Bowl
It's being announced right now on NFL Network, but John Glennon just broke the news that no Titans have been voted to the 2011 NFL Pro Bowl. Not really a surprise. I guess Rob Bironas and Cortland Finnegan could have been chosen, but it didn't happen. The last time the Titans didn't have anyone chosen was 2006.
It's not like the Pro Bowl means anything though, because a large number of the players that were chosen will drop out due to "injury" or playing in the Super Bowl.

New Orleans Saints @ Tennessee Titans: Keys to Victory
1. Contain Graham. Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is quite possibly the best tight end in the league this year. He has become Drew Brees's favorite target, with more receptions than any player in the NFC. The Saints have lost 2 of the 3 games in which defenses have held him to less than 60 yards receiving. Jerry Gray challenged his defense, especially his safeties, to hit and hit hard. Michael Griffin is going to be big in this game in order to limit Graham's yards after catch.
2. Eat up the clock. The Titans are converting third downs at just a measly 38 percent rate, which includes gaining just 2 of 11 conversions last week against the Bills. The easiest way to keep the Saints from scoring is to keep them from getting the ball. With the Titans finding a real running game ,with Chris Johnson hitting his stride, the Titans need to have lengthy scoring drives that eat up the clock. That is, as long as they aren't playing from behind...
3. Get off to a quick start. The Titans are going to need to get a lot of points from a lot of different places to score enough points to keep up with the Saints, who are second in the league with 32.8 points per game. A good way to begin that is to score during the opening drive. The Titans have not been very good at getting off to a good start this year. The Titans need to score first, score early, and not play from behind. Plus they can ride the momentum that an early score at home brings.
