Cardinals Future: "Nothing On The Horizon"?

So this article is a few days old, but I saw it on NFL.com and it seemed worth bringing up on ROTB. The list breaks down who (Gregg Rosenthal) thinks will win the SB soonest (for the first time in franchise history), and who is the furthest away (not very in-depth I might add).

So this article is a few days old, but I saw it on NFL.com and it seemed worth bringing up on ROTB. The list breaks down who (Gregg Rosenthal) thinks will win the SB soonest (for the first time in franchise history), and who is the furthest away (not very in-depth I might add).

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d829c40fc/article/whos-next-in-line-to-win-first-super-bowl-title?module=HP11_cp

Now the first thing that jumps out to me is the fact he has the Carolina Panthers as the first team he sees winning the SB for the first time. Personally, I see the Eagles and the Lions being MUCH closer to a title than the Panthers. I know Cam was good, but he is only going into his second year and I don't think is ready to lead a team to a SB. Not to mention I don't see their defense being where it needs to be (still have to see how John Beason comes back from that horrible injury).

My list would be:

First up: Philadelphia Eagles

Runner up: Detroit Lions

Knocking on the door: Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons

Sleepers: Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle Seahawks

Nothing on the horizon: Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills

The reason I put the Cardinals as a sleeper is UNTIL they solve the QB position we will not be contending for a SB ring. If we can get good QB play I would def move us into the knocking on the door category, maybe even runner up. This team is going to be a defensive minded group with a dangerous offense as well.

So, what are your thoughts? Where do the teams who HAVEN'T won a SB ring belong?

 	<fieldset class="poll-box">
  <legend>Poll</legend>

Do the Cardinals belong as a "nothing on the horizon" team?

9%

Yes, they are doomed for years to come

6 votes

91%

No, they have a bright future (or other (add in a comment))

60 votes

66 votes

    | Poll has closed

  jQuery(document).ready(function(){
    new SBN.Poll('poll_container_142109_1124878391').animateResults({renderImmediately:true});
  });

This 5'7 185 pound RB/ST player is one of my favorite on the Arizona Cardinals roster. He is jacked for his size and has an incredible amount of speed. He is an explosive kick returner and has proven that with his multiple returns for touchdowns in his short NFL career. Clearly the rule to move the kick offs closer has hampered his ability on special teams but I still see an important role for him in the offense.

One thing that pains me about this team is the way they use LaRod on the offensive side of the ball. This teams inability to run a decent screen is just one of the ways that hurts LSH's value to this team. The coaching staff seems allergic to putting LaRod in space and letting him do what he does best, make big plays. This simple route into the middle of the field shows just what LSH can do for this team http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-fantasy/09000d5d823680e0/QB-Kolb-to-RB-Stephens-Howling-73-yd-pass-TD

Don't get me wrong I am not saying LSH is the best at what he does but he should be a Darren Sproles / Reggie Bush type for this offense. Quick passes out of the backfield, draws, short throws, anything to get them in space and let the playmaker do his thing.

Just curious as to what you other Cardinals fans think about LSH in general? And how he is being used in the offense?
