Summary

Utah gets a superstar guard they need in Rajon Rondo and free up flexibility with Paul Milsap future with acquiring Bass. They give up a really good player in Al Jefferson but its a situation where he isn't in their future plans because of Kanter and Favors.

Sacramento could use a better fit at the wing positions then forcing Tyreke Evans to play off the ball, considering his best position is point guard. They get a future 1st round pick from Utah and D. Carrol. Carrol gives Sacramento a big athletic small forward that defends really well and makes less the 1mil on his contract. From Boston they get Courtney Lee who gives them a young piece who fits better off the ball then Evans does. With this trade, the Kings get young athletic wings with cap friendly contracts. Tyreke is a talent they don't feel good about giving up but it's a bad fit considering their logjam at point guard. The first round pick from Utah gives them another building piece.

Boston gets a big man in Al Jefferson that makes them a contender in the present and Future who is in his prime at 27 yrs old. They also get a unique talent in tyreke Evans that can play point guard with any lineup while guarding positions 1-3 which gives Doc even more lineup flexibility. In this trade they also move Brandon bass who's contract is too high for his low rebounding production. Seeing Rajon Rondo go isn't easy and will always leave you with a bad feeling about this trade. You still have to take feelings aside and understand that this Boston roster is better with a point guard who can be effective without dominating the ball. More importantly this isn't a knock on Rondo. I just think Al Jefferson is a rare talent in this league, and a 6"11 center who can dominate a game from the block is harder to find then a point guard who makes others better. Tyreke Evans gives you a player with tons of potential that makes you feel better about Rondo loss.

Giving up Courtney lee isn't appealing to me either. I respect how good of a defender he is, and his scoring potential with his athleticism. I much rather give up Jason Terry and the trade financials would still work. I just don't think the Kings would be interested unless Lee is involved. Sacramento is getting a good player with an even better contract.

Everyone wins and loses in this deal, and I think that is what makes this realistic.

Utah gets

Sacramento Gets

D. Carrol

Draft pick from Utah

Boston gets
