I listen to ESPN Radio quite a bit up here in Alaska.  I notice Colin Cowherd is always dogging on the Chiefs and Royals. 

I was listening today and he was naming all the teams that had no chance at making a run at the playoffs.  He got to the AFC West and said, "DENVER is a mess, OAKLAND is a mess" and when he got to KC I cringed cause I thought he would bash us like he does every time.  

He paused for a second and said, "I actually like where Kansas City is headed."   

Now this does not mean he said we are making the playoffs, but it certainly makes me not want to strangle him every time he talks bad about my Chiefs!  

Just thought I would pass along some NON-breaking news.

I live in Alaska and don't get to see very many chiefs games on tv.  I almost always listen the the Chiefs Radio Network with Mitch Holstus.  I log on to Arrowhead Pride at least 5 times a day.  (My wife hates that!)  Anyway's, I am always reading about how we should have drafted Mark Sanchez and never should have traded for Cassell.  Are you kidding me???  Lets say Cassell would have been traded to the Broncos.  ESPN would be talking right now about how big of a stud Cassell is.  Denver has a very good o-line, receivers, and tight ends.  Same goes for New York Jets.  Mark Sanchez is playing for a very good football team!  Cassell is running for his life for a reason.  Our O-line is horrible!!!  Which you all already know this.  I love what Clark Hunt, Pioli, and Haley are doing, but Hunt need to buck up and spend some cash in the offseason!  I believe building through the draft, but you need FA too!

Now Jammall Charles.  I wrote a Fanpost about Jammall Charles being a Factor Back.  Yes, he fumbles, but I thought he had a very good football game.  A Mark Bradley penalty erased his touchdown.  I just think his speed is something the chiefs need right now, because LJ just doesn't have that speed, but again is has to do with the o-line!  My point is I think Cassell will be a stud with the right o-line and another stud WR!  Same for Charles!  Give that guy some more carries!

Does anyone know what Jammal Charles injury is?  We all know he wasn't listed on the injury report.  I just have a feeling he could of been a factor back in this game.  Dantrell Savage and Jackie Battle both had mistakes and they don't even come close to the speed of Charles!  I hope to see him back soon!  I think with the right o-line Jammal Charles will be a stud.  I'm hoping he is our Darren Sproles!

I read on AP about 1 month ago about buying jereseys off  www.jersey101.com  for $38.00.   Has anyone purchased one of these jerseys?  My wife said the website looked kinda shady.  The jerseys look really good.  I did notice on one of the Larry Johnson jerseys they had #72 instead of #27 on his!  Must be chinese!  Thinking of getting a Cassell jersey and maybe a George Brett Jersey!  Cassell All-pro 2010-2011.............. 

Any info would be great????

I hope this report from Fox news is correct!  I know..... a 2nd round pick would be nice to have, but what can you get with Pioli at the helm in the second round?    Or what about the 55th pick since 2000?  I have faith in Pioli with his selections in the ENTIRE draft, but I just want to look back since he was in New England with 2nd round picks.  I say keep Tony.  It will only help Matt Cassel.

After hearing about Mike Anderson signing with Mizzou for 7 years, I read about the Jay Cutler latest and greatest!  What a day for the state of Missouri!  Mizzou gets back a great coach and the recruiting should be a lot better than the past.  I actually like Jay Cutler, but I am glad to see him leave the AFC West!  I hope Jay gets traded to a NFC team and dominates!  Thanks McDaniels for joining the Broncos!!!!!

I used to live in Missouri but now I  live in Juneau, Alaska and follow the Chiefs constantly.    I have a friend in KC that said Romeo Crennel still might be a possibility for our DC.  I can't find anything on the internet about it.  Has anyone heard anything?  I know his agent released the statement  that he wouldn't be joining the Chiefs for 2009, but I hope my friend is right!  Anybody hear anything????

I was one of the biggest fans of bringing in Scott Pioli and Todd Haley.  I REALLY don't understand this nonsense.  Does Todd even know who the hell he is talking to?  Brian Waters is one of our best players.....not to mention he is great for the community.  I am outraged by this!!!  Todd also reportedly said  "22 men off the street could win 2 games". 

I've got news for ya Todd.  This team is 4 or 5 players away from being really good.  But not if you run all the pro bowl players out of town!  If I remember right New England put the smack down on the Cards this year and ohh yeah you only won 9 games!  Thats not that impressive.  

I don't think Scott Pioli is arrogant.  I sure hope not.  This is not a good start for the Chiefs!  We need Brian Waters on our team! 

We'll see how the big three (HUNT, Pioli, and Haley)  go after free agents.  I think we are in a rebuilding year, so I don't expect much.  The only way any of these free agent come to KC is for money.  Not sure if the big three  are willing to dish out the cash  just yet?  Here are my top ten free agents that are left to go after!

This link states that the Lions will take Aaron Curry out to supper.  It is highly unlikely a LB will go #1 overall, but what if the Lions do take Curry at #1?  What do the Chiefs do at #3?

I don't think Stafford or Sanchez is worth #3.  Brain Orakpo would fill a need, but is he worth #3?  He was until Alex Boone shut him down in the Fiesta Bowl.

Crabtree is worth the #3, but we really don't need a WR in the first round.

I really like Curry, but should the chiefs trade down and get more picks?  Scott Pioli is known for trading down and it seems like he always gets a good deal.  Here is my ideal situations if we trade down.

1.  Trade #3 to the Eagles/Crabtree and we get their 21st  and 28th and a 2010 1st round pick.  Probably not going to happen, but this is what this pick is worth.

With the 21,28 and 34th picks they should be able to get Michael Johnson, James Laurinitis, and Brian Cushing.

2. Trade down to Raiders for their #7 and this years 2nd and 3rd.  It doesn't matter if Crabtree goes to the Raiders, Russell is a bust anyway!!!

I don't see Curry still there at #7 so go with Rey Rey! 

Don't really see anyone else that would trade down.

This is not a position of need, but just think about it!  Todd Haley- Thiggy, TG, Bowe, and Crabtree!  This is a pass happy league and they would be in the top 5 for sure.  With that being said our defense would still suck!   We definately need to sign Karlos Dansby or Bart Scott and draft a DE and OLB.  We need a RT as well!  I don't see Pioli and Hunt spending big bucks on Peppers or Gross.
