Rose In Skills Challenge

Just saw the news on NBA.com.

Derrick Rose will meet Devin Harris, Tony Parker and Jameer Nelson.

Turns out our earlier fears on whether Rose would skip the Skills Challenge was unfounded.

I'm looking forward to Rose v Harris, I've been saying to everyone who would listen to me that those 2 were gonna be All NBA guards one day.

This is probably the only reason I'd watch the broadcast on Saturday.

Sorry, this post comes slightly later than New Year's but I would like to thank Matt and the rest of you guys for making the last few seasons tolerable.

Here's my (almost impossible) wishes for the Bulls this year:

1) Rose to stay injury free.

2) PaxDorf to finally figure out that we need some help.

3) BG to resign

4) 2010...

Thanks for once again making the Bulls (minus the Noc & Hughes PT) tolerable to watch.

BTW: just saw this, apparently Jan 2 is Kirk's b-day

Exactly how useful is Hinrich?

We've seen Hinrich love and we also have people who think Hinrich is worth as much as Larry Hughes' left knee. Personally, I want Hinrich to stay.

Question is, as what?

In my head, we draft Rose and put Hinrich as a starting 2 with Ben as a 6th Man. What I don't know is whether Hinrich can play the 2. He's a decent ball handler and he has a decent shot when open.

Second Round

Enough has been said about what we are going to do with the first round. What about our other pick?

My head's a little spinny from all the draft talk for the Number One Pick. As far as I am concerned, Rose is a lock and anything that Pax does other than that is sheer lunacy. I'm just thinking of what we can do with the Second Round Pick we have.

I'd say we take Nathan Jawai.

There's a team in Singapore (where I'm from) that plays in the same league as Jawai so I've seen him first hand. In a nutshell, he's Aaron Gray with about 10 pounds more muscle.

He's got the strength and wingspan to be a scary post defender (he's called Baby-Shaq here). The biggest knock on him is his conditioning but he left Cairns about 10 pounds lighter and I've heard he is still working out more before the draft.

I think we can develop him into a solid contender in a few years. I know it's a bad idea to bring in another low post project but how many projects are as much of a physical specimen as this guy? He should also have that big match mentality we need as he is used to carrying teams on his back (NBL All-Star MVP & his team the Cairns Taipans).

So what do you guys think?
