My Dad took me to a Sox game on 7/7/67.
Gary Peters gave up back to back doubles in the 1st inning
for the only 2 hits the Twins would get.
He threw 8 innings and Hoyt Wilhelm pitched the 9th.
The Sox scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out.
Tommy McCraw scored the tying run from 3rd on an error by the SS and
Buddy Bradford never stopped running from 2nd and slid under the tag at home.
I've been hooked ever since.
