Houston has been trying to deal him for the last two years, I think he'd be a pretty good fit in the backcourt with John Wall. He's a very efficient player, something the Wizards havent had for a long time.

I don't have a paragraph's worth of thoughts on the subject and im too lazy to open up a new tab and look at the trade machine, but Utah has a lot of big dudes on their roster, and they probably wont be paying all of them in the future. Maybe we should try to take one of them off their hands. Milsap is a pretty underrated offensive player, and is clearly an upgrade over booker. Maybe if Utah is stupid, we can convince them to include Alec Burks or Gordon Hayward or something, I dont really know.

So I was looking through Andray Blatche's twitter today (dont ask me why) and I came across this interesting post. An angry fan asked him a few weeks ago why he doesn't post up and is constantly floating around the 3 pt line. Andray, in a response that was surprisingly nice, claimed that he would love to post up all game, but that flips sets give him the ball on the perimeter.

Could Andray have a point? Flips sets are definitely different than what he ran for Blatche last year, but I find it hard to believe that he would change the offense in order to give Blatche the ball on the perimeter, especially when he's clearly out of shape, and ineffective from out there. Then again, if Blatche is breaking the offense to play on the perimeter, wouldn't Flip have benched him by now? Anyway, heres a link to the tweet.

Its been another rough season for us wizards fans, and recently there have been a ton of fanposts discussing the changes that the organization needs to be making. While there has been a lot of disagreement as to which direction the organization should be going in, I think it's important that we, as a community, take the time to discuss something that we can pretty much all agree upon.

There was a (brief) period in which Andray Blatche played some beautiful, beautiful basketball.

Now, I have no idea if those three months last season were a fluke, but its clear that Andray isn't all the way back from that foot injury. Look at how svelte and nimble he is! Look at that jumper at 0:43! Look at those spin moves!

I'm not sure if we should keep him or trade him, but I do miss the Andray Blatche of last year. For a short period of time, he was one of the best power forwards in the league, and it was great to watch him play so well. While this hasn't been his year for a number of reasons, I dont think its a stretch to believe that he will return to this level of play at some point this season, be it here or somewhere else.

According to Marc Stein, the Wizards front office is considering trading Andray Blatche.  Nevermind if he deserves to be traded or not, but if Ernie actually goes through with it, what can we expect to get in return? I'd love to get a young, starting 4 back, but I can't imagine Blatche has much of any value right now, and i can't think of any teams that would be willing to swap power forwards. The only young four who's available that I can think of is Anthony Randolph, but i doubt the Knicks would have any use for Blatche. What do you all think? Is there anyone we could really get for Andray? Or would trading Blatche be another example of "addition by subtraction"?

...That's why a couple of teams think the Thunder might be willing to trade down in the draft. Two league sources said the Wizards and Thunder already had discussions about a swap of the No. 3 pick for the No. 5 pick and the Wizards' 2008 first-rounder JaVale McGee.

The Wizards want Rubio and would settle for Thabeet if he's the one who falls. The Thunder would get a long, lanky shot-blocker in McGee and can then get another guy they like, Arizona State's James Harden, at No. 5.

McGee took some huge steps forward this year, but is bound to lose some minutes with Haywood back and healthy. What do you all think? Should Grunfeld pull the trigger?
