Johnny Bench puts onus on Buster Posey's positioning
My first thoughts are Scott Cousins has 3% body fat? Secondly, when Ramon Hernandez gets trucked over at home plate and subsequently injured, can we say that he must not have been trained well in collision aversion? Thirdly, I'd like some apple pie.
NFL Penalty Chart
After seeing the Colts get flagged for a Disconcerting Signals penalty, I needed to look up what it was. I'm sure I'm late on being introduced to this penalty, but the chart I Googled on penalties looked pretty cool to share.
Thomas Clayton signs with the Patriots
Good for Clayton. It was unfortunate he got injured before he could make the roster for us.
Steve Young Football and Me. Are any of you getting this app for the iPad? Proceeds go to the Forever Young Foundation.

2009 49ers Catch Rate
Let's see if you guys can match the 2009 49er to their catch rate for the 2009 season. Please no quizjacking, it's supposed to be fun.
Rate 49er
0.604 Isaac Bruce
0.636 Michael Crabtree
0.429 Vernon Davis
0.642 Josh Morgan
0.558 Delanie Walker
1.000 Arnaz Battle
I was a bit surprised so few passes were thrown towards a certain player's way given his skillset. I hope he gets more involved this season. Post your guesses in the comments.
Raye challenges Yahoo to call plays
The story said that Raye's play calls often arrive garbled and require translating by the person relaying them to the quarterback. Raye today said he didn't even know who Yahoo was. "I've done this a long time," Raye said. "This is my 34th year in the National Football League. I'm not flawless. I think I speak with good diction, I don't garble anything. I think I speak with good diction, and I think I express myself pretty well. So whoever Yahoo is, maybe he should come and call the plays."
Holy crap, it's worse than I thought. Jimmy doesn't know what Yahoo! is. This also explains how he doesn't know how to work Brian Westbrook into his scheme.
Actually, if that was an attempt to put Jason Cole in his place, then I think that went over everyone's heads.

On the Fringe: Alex Boone
I really enjoyed reading this entry from Alex Boone. Seems like a pretty cool guy to know. I wish all the best for him.

Clearly out of touch with the progress of QB's at OTA's and Minicamp. Equating Nate Davis with Mark Sanchez an interesting analysis though.

LaGarrette Blount and his role on the Titans
I thought it was a bit ignorant to say that he wouldn't offer anything different from Gore or Coffee in SF.
In San Francisco, he’d look a lot like Frank Gore and Glen Coffee. In Tennessee, he stands out as different than anyone.
Tim Tebow makes Denver Broncos debut
Those dropbacks and throws look halfway decent. Given his apparent enthusiasm to work on his craft and fix his technique, he is already more worthwhile than Jamarcus. I do hope he beats out Brady Quinn in training camp.
