I am surprised to see no one has posted a list of who will be attending the convention yet. I did do some searching and found this list:

Ernie Banks
Darwin Barney
Glen Beckert
Milton Bradley
Bob Brenly
Bill Buckner
Randy Bush
Jose Cardenal
Neal Cotts
Doug Dascenzo
Jody Davis
Ivan DeJesus
Ryan Dempster
Bobby Dernier
Leon Durham
Oneri Fleita
Mike Fontenot
Joey Gathright
Doug Glanville
Kevin Gregg

I'm kind of surprised to see no Derrek Lee, Rick Sutcliffe, or Andre Dawson.

Thought I would share this with everyone.....

I went to Sarasota, FL for a couple days and flew home today (i hate winter). After boarding the plane, I immediately recognized Mike board the plane as one of the last passengers. As he passed by I casually said "Flying in for the Convention?" as to which he replied "I guess so.....".

A few minutes later a woman wearing a White Sox jersey was trying to find a place in the overhead compartment for her backpack. I pointed out an empty spot to her and she said thanks. A few seconds later I got a tap on my shoulder from Quade. He asked me in a hilariously serious tone "You helped HER??!".

Awesome.

Hello,

Just thought I would let everyone know there are tickets available for the Astros series next week (especially on Tues & Wed) on the Cubs site. Good seats available, somehow I was able to get Sec 424 row 1!! There also were some bleachers available for Tuesday, but those might be gone by now. Hope this helps some of you, it did for me!

Lets go Cubs!

Just was cruising Cubs.com when I noticed that all the player pictures have been updated for this year. Its always fun to go through and find the worst photo. Derrek Lee doesnt even look like the same guy and Angel Guzman still looks like America's Most Wanted! If I were a player I definately wouldnt want this picture to look too bad as it is the one that gets blown up on the jumbotrons at all the other parks! Im curious to hear comments on these!

Heres a subject I havent seen yet...

Does anyone know if the Cubs will continue to use the home and away jerseys only this year? I believe it was McDonough who pulled the alternative jerseys from use last year. Personally, I do not like them used for home games but didnt mind them on the road so much. Maybe if they were brought back Carlos would be more comfortable! lol

Sox fan shows displeasure with Cubs at workplace

Ok, I just had to rant this to everyone. I work in an office/warehouse and our HR department has decided to have a Cubs Spirit Day tomorrow. It asks that those who work tomorrow to support the Cubs by wearing red and blue or things such as Cubs t-shirts and jerseys. A company wide e-mail was sent out, and a flyer was posted next to the time clock by our front door.

After I finished my lunch today I walk past time time clock to see the flyer vandalized. Someone scribbled in blue pen over the Cubs logo and the Division Champs logo, and also crumpled it all up and left it hanging on the cork board. Seriously, how pathetic is this? Note also, that when the White Sox got to the playoffs in 2005, the same spirit day was observed for them (I showed my spirit by wearing a Cubs hat, shirt, and even went as far as refusing to wear white socks that day, instead cubbie blue socks). When this Sox day was held here a few years ago did anyone screw around with that flyer? No. Not at all.

Who is really showing offf the stereotype classlessness today? I did find out it was in fact a White Sox fan who did it, and left the following post it note next to the crumpled flyer: "The vandalism displayed here is why Sox fans get a bad rep. I didnt know we had children working here."

End rant.

-Andrew
