A fifth-generation Denverite, Denver Nuggets season ticket holder and unofficial Nuggets historian, Andrew has over 15 years experience in sports, entertainment and new media. Andrew began his professional career as an intern for Turner Sports' NBA and NFL broadcasts and has since gone on to produce television and new media projects for Fox Sports, Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon.

Andrew is also the co-creator of "Girls & Sports", a nationally syndicated comic strip that has been syndicated to over 300 newspapers nationwide. "Girls & Sports" has appeared as a series of animated shorts on Fox Sports' "Best Damn Sports Show Period" and in comic strip form daily at ESPN.com.

In addition to his work in entertainment and new media, Andrew is a partner with the EXDO Management group which oversees various real estate and hospitality ventures in downtown Denver, including the EXDO Event Center, Tracks Nightclub and Jake's Food & Spirits restaurant.

Believing the fan's voice is rarely heard, Andrew launched Denver Stiffs - "Stiffs" being an homage to legendary Nuggets coach Doug Moe - in 2008 and joined SB Nation in 2009.

Andrew graduated from Atlanta's Emory University with a business degree. While at Emory, Andrew was the lead sports editorial columnist and sports cartoonist for "The Emory Wheel" school newspaper ... and he ran his own fantasy basketball league (since online fantasy sports hadn't been invented yet).

Denver Stiffs Kenneth Faried makes the NBA All-Rookie First Team ...

Photo

"The Manimal" - aka Kenneth Faried - became the first Nugget since Carmelo Anthony in 2004 to make the NBA's All-Rookie First Team. It's well deserved and further cements Faried as one of the great draft steals (he was selected 22nd overall in 2011) in recent memory. Other notable All-Rookie First Team Nuggets include Nene Hilario (2003), Antonio McDyess (1996), LaPhonso Ellis (1993) and Dikembe Mutombo (1992).

Denver Stiffs Golden Nuggets: Spurs, Pacers provide models for Nuggets to emulate ...

George Hill was actually swapped by the Spurs to the Pacers before the season for rookie Kawai Leonard.

Three small market teams are on the march in the 2012 NBA playoffs: the Thunder, Spurs and Pacers. Should the success of these three franchises provide hope for Nuggets fans?

Denver Stiffs Denver Post: Birdman may be target of extortion ...

Photo

This just in from our friend Benjamin Hochman of The Denver Post. Nuggets' center Chris Andersen may be the target of an extortion attempt. The Birdman's lawyer just released the following statement:

"A female fan in 2010 mailed Mr. Andersen multiple letters and included several photos in which she was scantily clad. Chris and this woman communicated with each other and in 2011, this woman, who represented herself as 21 years of age, flew to Colorado, showing her required identification. After leaving Colorado, she became upset at his lack of interest. In 2012, she threatened to retaliate if he did not provide financial remuneration. "

Denver Stiffs Golden Nuggets: Andrew Bynum's "easy" comments jinx the Lakers ...

Photo

Prior to the Denver Nuggets shockingly amazing 102-99 Game 5 victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles, Lakers center Andrew Bynum said:

Close-out games are actually kind of easy. Teams tend to fold if you come out and play hard in the beginning.

Question for Bynum: Are Game 6s easy, too?

Denver Stiffs Game 5 Nuggets Vs Lakers Preview: And then there was one ... (8:30pm MT)

Gallo and the Manimal will once again try to contain the great Kobe Bryant on Tuesday night.

Only 8 teams in NBA history have come back from a 3-1 playoff series deficit to win a series. And while it's doubtful that the Nuggets will be team number 9, right now I'd happily settle for a Game 6 on Thursday night in Denver.

Denver Stiffs [UPDATED] Next STIFFS NIGHT OUT Tuesday, May 8th

The Manimal is getting excited for the next Stiffs Night Out!

Just a friendly reminder that our next STIFFS NIGHT OUT is happening on Tuesday, May 8th for Game 5 of the Nuggets vs. Lakers series. As we've done previously, the event will take place at Jake's Food & Spirits which will be serving 2-for-1 well, wine and draft beers all night.

The game will be seen on all of Jake's 10 HDTVs, including their giant 100" projector screen which will - weather pending - be placed on Jake's amazing outdoor patio ... so seating will not be a problem for all the Stiffs who show up. And as always, we will be playing Nuggets-themed trivia for prizes.

Please RSVP here or on our Facebook event page so we can get an approximate head count. Go Nuggets!!

Denver Stiffs Game 4 Lakers Vs Nuggets Preview: More of the same, please ... (7:30pm MT)

We need another big game from JaVale McGee for the Nuggets to win Game 4.

After dropping two consecutive games in lackluster fashion to the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center, for Game 3 the Denver Nuggets remembered that they're participating in the playoffs and played with that must needed sense of urgency. What further adjustments are in order if the Nuggets are to tie this series at two games apiece?

Denver Stiffs You need a superstar (or two!) to win a championship ...

Two Lakers superstars. 10 championship rings and 16 NBA Finals appearances combined between them.

Back in December, Nuggets head coach George Karl joined Scott Hastings and Mike Evans on FM104.3 The Fan and emphatically said: "Screw all the guys out there that think you gotta have a superstar to win a championship." Well, I have news for you, George ... you do!

Denver Stiffs A (brief) history of Nuggets Vs. Lakers playoff match ups ...

Even Carmelo Anthony couldn't deliver a playoff series victory against the Lakers.

Since joining the NBA in 1976, the Denver Nuggets have met up with the Los Angeles Lakers five times in the Western Conference playoffs ... losing all five series and having won just four total games combined in those five series. Could the Nuggets reverse history and best the Lakers this time around?

Denver Stiffs Stiff List: Metta and the 'Cats lead the way ...

Referee Gary Zielinski tells Metta World Peace: you're #1 on the Stiff List!

Metta World Peace
Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Harden with an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

Charlotte Bobcats
The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

Oklahoma City Thunder
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

Billy Hunter and Derek Fisher
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.

Denver Stiffs Magic Vs. Nuggets preview: The march to the 6th seed continues ... (6pm MT)

The Nuggets have to defend the three-point shot tonight.

With three games remaining in the 2011-12 NBA season, the Nuggets can control their own destiny and claim the 6th overall seed in the Western Conference playoffs. That begins with a back-to-back victory over the Orlando Magic in Denver on Sunday evening.

Denver Stiffs Golden Nuggets: What no Wilson Chandler means for the playoffs ...

Denver Stiffs Clippers Vs. Nuggets preview: Playoff positioning at stake ...

Big Al's knee isn't going to feel any better after defending Blake Griffin on Wednesday night.

While the Nuggets have been playing win-two-lose-one for the last few weeks as they slog towards the playoffs, the Clippers have been red hot, winning 14 of their last 16 games. And thus, much is on the line when these two teams meet at Pepsi Center on Wednesday night as the Clippers play for a three-seed in the Western Conference playoffs and the Nuggets try to improve their chances of landing sixth. Could this be a playoff preview?
